2010-8-8 Mew SW 15

FIRST! Fun with DCE. I like this card, but rotation, and Mew Prime. N/A in modified, 8/10 in unlimited if you're playing some super tank card, and I'm not rating in unlimited, because well... It's bad.

It's a great concept. Very difficult to power and use correctly in this format, since there aren't many decks that have attacks worth copying - but as an idea, pretty scary. It would be kind of fun to copy Gallade SW with this, for example.

6/10 modified despite lack of use; 7/10 unlimited, where you can use Scramble to charge it up that much faster.

Thnks that this card could be as interesting as Jolteon* was. Setting up a Dragon Rush or Extreme Attack could be interesting since it is only a Psychic and DCE. This could be one of those Game Changers!

6/10 in modified since it depends heavily on your opponent and their discard and can do heavy damage for 2 eneries and its first attack can be decen as well

I threw this in my AMU deck, since I was running DCE, and I never actually ended up using it. However, this seems like a pretty good play in Gardy since you can Telepass someone's Roseanne's for Mew + Energy, then drop your DCE on t2. I've gotta say that I can't really see myself using it for a purpose other than that one, especially since this as well as Gardy are being rotated in a few weeks.

Again with the old cards no one's going to care about in a month...today's CotD is Mew from SWm a card no one even used over the last 2 years it's been legal. Statwise, 60 HP is average for a Basic, +20 Weakness to :psychic: is meh, no Resistance is common, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Psychic Balance is useful enough, costing no Energy and letting you draw cards until you have the same as your opponent; it's not a hand refresher like Chatot MD (nor does Mew have free Retreat), but it could have its own uses. Re-creation, eh; on the one hand, :psychic::colorless::colorless: is pricey, and being able to potentially mimic an attack from a Pokemon in your opponent's discard, eh. Depends really if they have anything good in there, otherwise it's pointless. Too situational imo.

Modified - 2/10 (Not that great really, other Pokemon do draw better for an attack and Re-creation is too situational to be that useful)
Limited - 8/10 (Better here, useful draw attack, though Re-creation is even more of a tossup here)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here at all, bad attacks)

Could be a good tech, especially in Luxchomp for mirror match. Play it, galactic switch an energy to it, then attach for turn and BAM you got a dragon rush. Could definitely be a game changer. I'll say 7/10 modified.

7/10 Modified Format

Low hp but only +20 weakness against Psychic helps Mew. It's first attack is okay being kinda meh with just a basic copycat so it's conditional. Second attack is also a little too iffy imo.

Artwork is decent enough landing it at 7 for me too.

It's kinda like a bad reprint of Mew ex from a set in which I can't quite remember, at best a league card if not less. Not enough power, low HP and weak to Phychic which seems to be a constant popular type.

3.5/10

It seems like it would be used either as a starter or as a versatile attacker. However, Baltoy came out in the next set with the same Psychic Balance attack, and Re-creation is expensive and only can re-create attacks from your opponent's discard piles.

It's nice that it is compatible with Double Colorless Energy, but it doesn't have enough HP to really do much.

Ahhh, I'm glad to see Mew for once!

60 HP is average for a basic. The psychic weakness hurts, and the retreat cost is average.

Mew's first attack, for no energy, can let you draw cards until you have the same number of cards as your opponent has in his/her hand, but you can only use it, of course, if you have fewer cards in your hand than your opponent. The second attack, for three energy (two with a DCE), lets it use any attack of any Pokemon in your discard pile, but you still need the necessary energy to use the attack. Well, looks like Mew has one diverse attack, and it can cause some comeback with its first attack.

Overall 2/10 in modified, 8/10 in limited, and 1/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card won't do a lot sadly. Re-creation is a very situational attack, as you may never know if you'll have fewer cards in your hand than your opponent, so this mean that there will be better drawing options here. The attack is also slightly expensive, requiring a DCE to be more useful. Its Psychic weakness also hurts, especially when against Cursegar or Plox, and the 60 HP makes it an easy target. The factor that "saves" it rating wise, however, is that its second attack can be pretty useful in several situations, like when your main attacker goes down.

In limited, this card does a lot better. Even though Re-creation is once a again a situational attack, it could still provide some draw. Plus. the second attack comes in handy when you have lots of Pokemon in your discard pile, which might happen often. For that reason, it can certainly bring an element of surprise to your opponent. Now, just remember to watch out for the :psychic: weakness and you should be fine.

In unlimited, this card is rather inferior compared to many other cards. There are better drawing cards then Re-creation, and the second attack is largely inferior to Mew EX, which is way better attacker compared to this card. Lots of :psychic: Pokemon are also rampant, and since it has low HP, it can go down very easily. Thus, I doubt this card would do well here.:nonono:

The first attack is similar to Baltoy's GE. It lets you draw until you have the same cards as your opponent. The upside is it lets the player keep their hand and (hopefully) draw if their hand is smaller than the opponents. The downside is that it does not refresh the hand, so if it is full of bad cards, then less potentially useful cards will be drawn, depending on situation.
The second attack can be used with DCE costing :psychic: :colorless: :colorless: and can copy any attack in the opponents discard. This could be very useful and an unexpected strategy against some decks. It really depends on what deck the player is facing. Could use dragon rush for an 80 snipe, psychic lock for 60 and no powers, a 60 snipe with shadow room, take out to basics, Power swing for a large hit, defean for no trainers, and many other possibilities. This card is best late game, when there are more pokemon in the discard pile to copy. This card is very random and could either be very good or just very bad, depeding on the deck the player is facing.
Interesting card though.
