Hmm Decent Card I have not played recently So idk what I would rate it.

HP:8/10 For Stage1 I remember when stage 1's barely made it past 100 LOL
Retreat:1/10 This thing is not going very far once it hits active slot with its retreat and Lower HP
Metal Claw: 6.75/10 Not to bad first attack Colorless + it does 30 Damage
Drill Run: 4.5/10 Shame Kind of Defeats Purpose of Metal Claw as it takes 3 Fighting so only can have it in a Uni-Fighting Deck. Nice Damage For current Cards and excellent Ability to remove an Energy attached. But The Goal is to KO so wont ALWAYS come in handy but can sometimes save you in the end.

Overall: 3.5/10

to me it looks like a bad version of Donphan prime,

1/10 for playability I suppose, certain it wohn't see any competitive play

If it had more HP, no retreat and Drill Run was :fighting::colorless::colorless:, then I could see it.

But it's not, so 3/10.

Today's CotD is Excadrill from EP...well, best to think of it as a very poor man's Donphan Prime I guess. Statwise 110 HP is nice for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to :water: is meh, -20 Resistance to :lightning: is useful, and :colorless::colorless: to Retreat is eh. Metal Claw deals a basic 30 for :colorless:, nothing fancy, and Drill Run is moderate at :fighting::fighting::fighting: for 80 and the effect of discarding an Energy off the Defending. So yeah...Donphan Prime pretty much outclasses Excadrill in everything, including cost, so if you don't want to put down the cash for him...well Excadrill is there I guess.

Modified - 2/10 (In terms of stats it's not bad, but it is utterly outclassed by Donphan Prime, who does so much more for pretty much the same costs along with better survivability)
Limited - 8/10 (Great choice for a :fighting: deck, big hitter in an easy to get out form)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, just bad)

perhaps one day there will be format with this and without donphan prime ,although by then there will probably be something better. anyway you could always use it if you really like donphan and 4-4 just isn't enough

I think Landorus in one of the upcoming sets will outclass this in every way except for having a colorless attack.
