"Hey I won a Battle Road!"

"O rly? What did you win?"

"A holo Pokeball with some pretty alternate artwork and a different name."

"Oh....that sucks...."

Have they every made a Victory Medal (cup) that you would really want to use in your deck?

Victory Medal got used in speed/donk decks last format (Quad Uxie, Shuppet Donk, Machamp).

Anyway . . .

Victory Cup is a trophy card and trophy cards have 2 functions:

1. Look prettyful
2. Be collectible

Complaining that it isn't playable is like moaning because your car can't cook dinner.

For what it is - 10/10

Now you can finally play 8 copies of Poké Ball in your deck!
Not that you'd ever want to...

Playability: 1/10 - Really, it's Poké Ball. Poké Ball is flippy, bad and unreliable. Don't use it.
Art: 8/10 - Victini in a cup? +10 coolness points. Now if only the actual cups came with real Victinis in them. ;D

I wouldnt play something like this deckwise, i'd rather display it in folder/sentimental since its something you achieved. Most probs put it next to other trading card game trophies i have at home.

10/10 for artwork and sentimental value it can bring
2/10 playability -just because it isn't poke'ball

Artwork is great! (I love the second place one!) Playability is non, but there are worse cards in the format. Look at energy switch. Potion. Full Heal. All serve a lesser purpose.

11/10 Artwork
10/10 for what it is
2/10 for Playability, since there ARE worse...

I was trolled by this card, my thoughts "Huh, not too bad of a card...." an hour later "WAIT A MINUTE".

Bad card, I already have to deal with enough flips if I use Super Scoop Up or Victory Medal.
2/10

Complaining that it isn't playable is like moaning because your car can't cook dinner.
Last I checked, my car definitely produced enough heat that I could probably cook dinner on it. Now, would that dinner taste good? Probably not. Victory Cup also does not taste good.

Visual: 6,7,9/10
Audial: 6,6,6/10
Olfactory: 4,4,4/10
Gustatory: 1,1,1/10
Tactitial: 8,8,8/10

1st Place 9.5/10
2nd Place 7.5/10
3rd Place 9/10

The second place one is a little awkward with the space between snivy and victini. It's difficult to make that not look awkward though. I kind of wish they used more cute basics rather than the dragons on there. Reshiram sucks at looking happy.

It's no tropical beach, but what did you expect? That the battle roads promo would be equal to the worlds promo? That just seems silly.

You can use 16 Poke Balls in your deck. That's so win.

But a Poke Ball is a Poke Ball. It's not that good. 1/10

dangit I was lied to :<

Today's CotD is Victory Cup from the Promo series, replacing the long run of Victory Medal promos for winning BRs...to that extent, I prefer the old one in terms of playability. Victory Cup pretty much mimics Pokeball, giving you a 50/50 chance of grabbing a Pokemon of your choice from your deck, which most decks have no need for given better options like Pokemon Communication and the upcoming Ultra Ball. It is cute how the artwork varies from 3rd to 1st though, but otherwise this is definitely something you collect in your binder for fun.

Modified - 2/10 (Given the better options and the fact you can run the common Pokeball instead of this [unless you're into bling], no real point in using it)
Limited - 0/10 (Promo card you get for winning)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, given the much better options)
