But seriously, I have applauded this card so many times already. With it's T1 potential, best resistance for the meta, light retreat, and ability to conserve energy, it makes an already good deck better and will continue to be a huge threat throughout BRs and at Fall regionals.

I will stick by my 6P rating and give it a 9/10. A sick card.

One of the best cards on EP.
110 HP is good, Zoroark needs 3 PlusPowers to revenge KO.
Who cares about weakness, because Zekrom hits 120? Ok maybe Pachirisu and PlusPower but still?
Resistance is the thing why this is so good.
Retreat is normal.
Attacks are good. You hit 80 on every turn from T1 and in the same time you load your benched pokemons. What can be better?

Tornadus... This guy deserves to be a Legendary, simply for being the only pure Flying-type in the video games without a gimmick.

Stats: 110 on a Basic is pretty good, considering most Legendaries. :colorless: type isn't bad in this format, I suppose. But the Weakness to :lightning: will wreck it against Zekrom and Magnezone Prime. However, the Resistance to :fighting: gives an edge against Donphan Prime and Machamp Prime. A Retreat Cost of 1 is manageable.

Let's look at it's attacks. Energy Wheel costs only one :colorless: energy, and it lets you move an energy from a Benched Pokemon to Tornadus. I honestly don't see this attack being used very often.

Hurricane does 80 damage for :colorless::colorless::colorless: and lets you move an energy from Tornadus to a Benched Pokemon. Good damage for the cost, and can easily be set up with DCE.

Tornadus seems like one of those Pokemon that can fit a multitude of decks, especially those that use multiple copies of DCE. A good tech against Donphan Prime if it's giving you trouble.

I rate this card a 8/10. Another good card from the Emerging Powers set.

Essential part of the winningest deck of the battle roads season (so far). Really splashable, great hp for a basic without nasty retreat cost of the dragons. This card doesn't belong in every deck, but it makes ZPS top tier and gives a few other decks a nice boost.

8/10

I really like this card. I got 4 in my deck. The only thing I dislike about it takes 2 (3 if I don't pull double colorless) turns to get a damaging attack going and I usually on pull this pokemon at the start of the game.
... Prime setup is when I have a DCE and a Rescue energy on it. No energy switching needed.

(Note: I know you aren't supposed to reply to posts in COTD, but I want to help out this guy).

Using a combination of Pachirisu to drop Lightning Energy onto itself, and Shaymin to transfer the energy onto Tornadus, plus an energy attachment of his own, it is actually very possible to attack on the first turn of the game, and often win. Regarding not 'having' to move energy with Hurricane, 9 times out of 10, its actually a good effect, allowing you to keep your energy in play.

Huh not really sure how I missed this...anyways yesterday's CotD was Tornadus from EP, an interesting tech card making its way into decks. Statwise 110 HP is great for a Basic, x2 Weakness to :lightning: is meh, -20 Resistance to :fighting: is nice, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Energy Wheel is ok for :colorless:, letting you swap an Energy from one of your Benched Pokemon to Tornadus to help power him up (something like DCE would be great). Hurricane deals a moderate 80 for :colorless::colorless::colorless:, though with a cost of moving an Energy off Tornadus and back to one of your Benched Pokemon. Useful for any deck as a tech against :fighting: due to Tornadus's nice :colorless: typing and ease of blending into any deck.

Modified - 8/10 (A nice tech choice for decks unlike his brother Thundurus)
Limited - 10/10 (A powerful Big Basic playable in any deck and comes with great attacks, what more could you want?)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not necessarily a reflection of him being bad, but more that he's unneeded really)
