This card is interesting to say the least.

140 HP for a stage 2 is really good. Weakness to psychic is pretty irrelevant in today's format, but it will be a devastating weakness to have when Next Destinies is released. No resistance is fine. 4 retreat is terrible, you never want to have more than 2 really. So having 4 retreat hurts it a lot.

It has a pretty good ability; its ability allows it to gain +20 HP for every fighting energy attached to it. So if you have 4 fighting energy attached to it, it's got 220 HP... pretty sick if you ask me.
Its only attack is pretty weak. 80 for 4 energy is terrible, even if the attack is compatible with DCE. The side effect of the attack is kinda random and not very useful.

I definetely think this Pokémon has potential and I can see it being quite good in some Electrode Prime decks. However, Conkeldurr will see absolutely zero play in competitive decks once Mewtwo EX is out. Trust me on this one. Reason why; Mewtwo EX can one-shot a Conkeldurr that has 4 energy attached to it. And it only needs a DCE to do so. Conkeldurr doesn't come close to even two-shotting the Mewtwo in return.

Rating (Modified) 7/10 - Interesting card, works in some decks.

I agree that after the next set it will. E a worthless card, however with the ability victinni this could be a cool deck for a quick minute

So good. Top Down lets you win the game straight up, as long as you flip like 40 heads in a row which isn't THAT difficult considering it's 50% chance every time. Rarest card in the set for me (3 in ~6 Boxes), and there's a reason for it.

10/10

Would be more playable if OHKO's weren't so easy to achieve in this format. Magnezone just needs to bide its time for a OHKO on anything, really. In today's format, you don't wanna put soo many resources into one Pokemon like this. Still a fun looking card.

A fun deck, nothing more. The only way I could see this being decent is with Vileplume and the newest Leavanny, but it takes a lot of set up and the reward isn't really worth it.

I like it, I really do, but I can't see this getting any play in any tournament.

Today's CotD is Conkeldurr from NV, the one that people talk about some. Statwise 140 HP is decent for a Stage 2, x2 Weakness to :psychic: is meh, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless::colorless::colorless: to Retreat is super expensive. Craftsmanship is an interesting Ability to say the least; an extra 20 HP for each :fighting: Energy on Conkeldurr is potent, and assuming you use only :fighting: to power his attack, he comes out to a beastly 220 HP. Unfortunately, your friendly Reshirams and Zekroms still land a 2HKO on it unless you have an insane 6 :fighting: Energy on him, and most other big Pokemon deal enough damage to seriously slow down any attempts to get another ready on the Bench. Top Down is a bit weak at :fighting::colorless::colorless::colorless: for a mere 80, but if you're godly at flipping Heads, you can get rid of more cards from your opponent's deck than even Durant lol.

Modified - 4/10 (Things don't look too well with the advent of Mewtwo EX and other big EX Pokemon coming soon, most of whom even beat Conkeldurr in HP until you get 2 :fighting: Energy on him. Add in an attack that has to 2HKO most targets and it leaves something to be desired)
Limited - 5/10 (Slightly more useful, if you can ever get it out)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, too long to power up and then you have lol decks like Gatr OHKOing it anyways)

Durant has nothing on Conkeldurr.
