I am one of the people that really "wants" this card to work, for the sake of Beedrill, but it is just too bad for this format. Without Rare Candy to speed it up, and it being almost impossible to get 4 of the Reunicluses out, it would be, at best, a league deck. You may see one of these at a tourney, but it will probably not go anywhere. I would LOVE to see this do good though.

Anywho, I will give it a 6/10 just because it is the better Reuniclus of the set, and I feel if done correctly it may have a chance. :)

Let's see what we can do with this thing. He's got 90 HP (Bad for Stage 2), 2 Retreat (Undesirable), Psychic Weakness (Getting 1HKO'd by everything anyway, irrelevant), but 2 interesting attacks. Future Sight is a Pokedex which lets you look at your top 5 cards(Slowking does better, as he is stage 2 and works from the bench) Net Force is reminiscent of the Mighty Beedril that won worlds a few years back. Unfortunately for this jellyball, The speed to put up 3/4 Reuniclus is no longer there and its pre-evo's don't help the process whatsoever. But hey, at least this reuniclus doesn't punch, and for that it gets a 5/10.

I was going to give this a 4/10 due to the fact that its terrible HP is really its major setback, but then I realised that Net Force is a terrible physics pun.

10/10.

Reuniclus (ND 52) is one of those cards that depends on the cards in its family, and while Reuniclus (BW) is good for many decks for a Pokemon it doesn't really help with this guy since he only has 90 HP. Furthermore due to the nerf to Rare Candy last year Stage 2 swarm is all the more difficult. I find this personally depressing since it has some really good attacks. Future Sight is nice for set-up early game, and Net Force can deal damage upwards of 160 damage for one energy (that's even better than RayBees). To make it's support even better Solosis (BW) also gets more Solosis into play for it's first attack.

In short its a really good card with some nice resources, but they don't add up to much due to its low HP of 90.

5/10

However keep this card in mind, because if Reuniclus ever gets some more support, or some card helps out Stage 2s it might be a worth while card.

To me, Reuniclus looks a lot like a new age Kricketune MT. His first attack, for only one energy, lets you look at the top 5 cards of your deck, and you can rearrange them in any order. His second attack, Net Force (for only a :psychic:) does 40 damage times the number of Reuniclus you have out. That attack is very interesting, and with 4 Reunclus out, you'll be hitting for 120 damage a turn. You could even run the BW Reuniclus as a supporting Pokemon to move damage counters away too. Unfortunately, right now, there isn't a lot of fast options to swarm Reuniclus, so it is more of a deck fun for league and nothing else.

90 HP is very low for a stage 2. Psychic weakness is pretty good, and the retreat cost is a bit heavy.

Overall 3/10 in modified, 1/10 in limited, and 2/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card is a bit below decent. While it can be a good attacker, and it has a good first attack, its HP is too low, and there aren't many options to swarm out Reuniclus right away compared to the days of Beedrill GE. Because of this, this card can easily out speeded and KOd, so it is generally better to play it for league then tournament. However, in our next set, we should be getting Ultra Ball, a trainer that lets you grab a Pokemon with 90 HP or less, and that card will slightly boost its speed, so it'll be a bit more usable.

In limited, this card doesn't have much a chance. It is slow to set up, HP is low for a stage 2, and there is a very low chance you'll pull out 3-4 Reuniclus to use here. Because of this, I can only see his use for Future Sight and that's about it. Otherwise, this card is kind of worth putting aside in prerelease.

In unlimited, yep, this card also won't have much of a chance. 90 HP is still way too low to deal with, yet here, there are many options to increase its speed, which is what "saves" this card from being 1/10. With many engine cards like Claydol, Uxie, etc, it can see some play, but with a lot of :psychic: Pokemon here, it'll be tough.

Just to clarify to everyone Ultra Ball is discard 2 cards search for a Pokemon and put it into your hand. The one your thinking of is Level Ball.

Yesterday's CotD is Reuniclus from NV...eh, it's interesting in some ways, but still kind of limited. Statwise 90 HP is horrible for a Stage 2 (about 40 below the average for Stage 2s, and 90 being the average Stage 1 HP), x2 Weakness to :psychic: is eh, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless: to Retreat is a bit pricey. Future Sight can be useful I guess (even if you give up an attack to use it), :colorless: to let you poke at the top 5 cards of your deck to re-arrange as you like is nifty. Net Force is theoretically very damaging: :psychic: for 40x the number of Reuniclus you have in play can work eeriely similar to the Beedrill decks of old, not to mention dealing a theoretically max of 160 whereas Beedrill topped out at 120. However, the main problem is that Reuniclus (still ironically I might add if you consider Reuniclus' base HP stat in the videogame) has a very weak 90 HP, making him very susceptible to OHKOs from, well, almost anything.

Modified - 3/10 - I guess you could be funny and tech one alongside the BW ones if you run them for a surprise factor, but otherwise his low HP ultimately dooms any real usefulness
Limited - 1/10 - Horrible HP still makes him really not worth evolving into, and while Future Sight is still useful, often you'll just end up swinging with Net Force for a mere 40 since getting 1 Stage 2 out is hard, let alone somehow drafting 4 Reuniclus and their evolutions and getting them all out
Unlimited - 1/10 - Still bad here, moving along...

Its one of those decks that if the format was slower it would be decent to good, but this is kinda ehh especially with the low HP

Really trying to make this deck work, if the old rare candy ruling existed or broken time space, it would be 100x better :(

3/10
