I feel this card would have shined if the dragon type wasn't created. but as it is in the current format there are better alternatives. Still pretty good though.. 6/10

I really like this card. With eviolite all attacks are reduced by 40! Three energy for 60 damage isn't great, but with the ability to 2 hit KO every EX (1 hit Shaymin) and only give up one prize, it's hard to find a better non EX basic. I use this card as a 2 of in my deck. 8.5/10

I am not convinced about this card.

Against EX, it one shots almost nothing except Shaymin EX while getting one shotted by almost everything.

Against non-EX, there are easier and better ways and reasons to do 60 damage. Sigilyph, which has better retreat, has a better possibility to do more damage to non-EX while being totally protected against most EX except for the ones that would already bypass Bouffer anyway.

Bouffalant one-shots Shaymin-EX and Mew-EX, and two-shots every other EX.

The EX that can one-shot it back are Terrakion, Rayquaza, Mewtwo w/3 Energy (assuming best case scenario where Bouff has the Energy for Gold Breaker and no Eviolite), and Ho-Oh with 5 different Energy Types. Darkrai can't OHKO, even with Dark Claw attached.

Result: Bouff is very good at getting a favourable Prize exchange against EX decks. (Which is like 90% of decks).

Best tech in format.

8/10

And Reshiram-EX (which is a viable tech in Hydreigon) and Zekrom-EX (which is almost standard in ZekEels right now).

Generally a decent tech when battling Pokémon-EX, but nothing really superior imo.

7/10
