PLEASE NOTE: ALL players must be in the registration line NO LATER THAN THE END of the Registration time listed above with your decklist filled out and your deck must be in decklist order. Please print you name, player ID and date of birth CLEARLY on the decklist. If you arrive later or get in line later than this time, you may receive a first round loss or denied entry to the event. Don't be late!

Therefore, while not mandatory, you should do the following to help ensure you are admitted on time for round 1: TCG players pre-register and pre-print your decklist before you arrive at the event.

Day 1: Standard format Swiss – Match play. Best 2 out of 3 games, 50 minutes + 3 turns. There will be no Sudden Death games.
• The number of Swiss rounds will be determined by the amount of players in each division.
• Top Cut: 8 players per age division will be played on Day 2 (see below for Day 2 format).
• You must play with a 60 card deck, using cards only from the Standard format as follows:

Saturday Raffles (between 3pm -4pm):

Everyone who registers for the main event will get a Raffle Ticket. You can earn extra Raffle tickets thru the Side Events and also earn an extra ticket for every $10 spent in one transaction per Vendor at the tables in the main event area. (For example: If you spend $30 at the Vendor table, you would get 3 Raffle tickets). You must be present to win!


Side Events:

Standard and Expanded -- $5.00 -All players.
Registration starts:Noon Registration ends:12:45pm​

• You must have your own legal 60-card Modified deck.
• 30 +3 minute rounds- Single Game Swiss. No top cut.
• All players get 1 Saturday Raffle ticket and 1 pack of Pokémon Furious Fists after the last round, while supplies last.

2 Sealed Tournaments-- $20.00 each All players
Registration starts: 4:00pm Registration Ends:4:30pm (maximum players: 28)​

• Receive 5 packs of Pokémon (we will supply the energy cards, if needed)
• 30 minutes to build a 40 card deck, you will play with 4 Prizes.
• Play 3 rounds. Single games. 20 minutes per round and no + 3. No top cut.
• After the 3rd round, each player will get a Sunday Raffle ticket.

Pokémon Creative Corner

READ THIS:
This is how I will be distributing these backpacks:
First you have to show up and play in the event. After Round 1, I will take the list of Preregistered VG players, which shows me the day and time you preregistered, and compare it to the list of players in the event. The first 100 players who preregistered and are playing in the event will be posted on the wall during Round 2. At any time after your 2nd round is over, and your name is on the list – you can pick up your backpack at the Main Stage (we will have signs displayed).
If you do not show up and/or decide not to play in the VG main event, you will be dropped from the preregistration list and the backpack will pass down to the next eligible player on the list.

Tournament Details:

o Players must bring their Nintendo DS family (any 2DS or 3DS system).
o Players must bring their own Pokémon X or Pokémon Y Game Card or downloadable version.
o Players must bring their own charger for their DS. Players are responsible for making sure their DS is charged for the event.
o Each age group will use Swiss rounds- this means all players get to play every round even if they lose every game.
o The number of Swiss rounds will be determined by the amount of players in each division.
o Swiss Rounds will be up to 15 minutes (Single Game Pairings)
o Top Cut: 8 players per age division. Top Cut will be Single Elimination Finals,run as best-of-three matches, approx. 15 minutes PER GAME (more details will be announced).

TCG Top 8* players return:
The TCG Top 8 Finals for each age division

8:00am - 8:30am – Top 8 players Check in.
8:45am - FINALS begin
*All Top 8 TCG players will receive a Commemorative Arizona Regional Championships 2014-2015 Dice (this is a different color than Day 1 dice). The only way to get this dice is to make TOP 8 TCG or play in the League Challenge on Sunday!

Transportation: The Metro Light Rail stops at the entrance to the South Building of the Phoenix Convention Center. An all Day pass is only $4 per person and can be purchased at any station. ($2 All Day Pass for Youths age 6-18, Children under 5 years old are Free).
Sky harbor airport now has a “Sky Train” which connects to The Metro Light Rail too. There are many hotels along the entire route of The Metro Light Rail. I have listed a few of the ones closest to the event with the best prices.

Added VG preregistration item --limited to the first 100 VG Preregistered players.
Important: when you preregister, make sure you PRINT out your form at the time you preregister, this will timestamp your registration which is very important. If you wait to print out your form, you risk the chance you may not get the special pre registration item and I will NOT see you on the Preregistration List!

Exciting! Regionals is this weekend, I hope you're all ready and NOT deciding on your decks/teams last minute ;)

Remember you can still pre register using the links on the main post. Even if you're a Junior or Senior pre registering will save you time. (It's also the only way to get the dice on Saturday)
