After doing pretty bad at the first BR with the mewbox deck, i was little more than disappointed. i decide to attend the BR at redcaps corner on locust street. i was planning on playing stage 1s but i decided to play zekrom for the day. With help of my friends in the tournament, i am able to get all the cards for Sean's zekrom list. towards the end of the day, his lists got 3rd in juniors, 1st in seniors, and 2nd in masters (me).
btw, this might not be 100% accurate since i cant remember too much detail. and expect alot of typos. im writing this 12 30 at night after writting multiple essays. last thing i want to do is edit my tournament report.
round 1- Luke stage 1
when i learned i had to face luke i was little nervous. he is a good player and i didnt want to start out the day with a loss. since luke is a very nice guy and i knew him for some time, it made my first game of the day more relaxing. i open with zekrom to his phanphy. after few turns of set up, i had an active tornadus with zerkrom on the bench. he had a donphan active , with lantern prime being charged up. i hurricane active donphan for 60 and he drops a phanphy and hits me for 40. i immediately catcher up his phanphy for the ko. after that, my zekroms and tornadus ran through the deck as he struggled to set up.

round 2-alex mewbox
i open with tornadus, and he opens with pichu with oddish and mew prime. he goes first collectors for mew, yanma, cleffa. benches all of them, and sees off a muk. i collectored for 2 tornadus and zekrom and benched them. i regreted benching the zekrom later on. i knew i couldnt put 2 zekroms down as it will get draged up and up but i thought 1 would be okay. it wasnt. he draws, evolves to yanmega, attach rainbow to it, then eeks. the baby stays asleep for 6 coin flips, allowing me to drop some energies in play, but he had enough time to set up. he dragged up my zekrom twice, which i am able to retreat everyturn due to DCE and shaymin. i responded with KO after each retreat with tornadus on the mew, at which point i took 3 prizes to his none. after a while, i got scared when i realized i only had 5 energies left in the deck and 4 on the board. after his last drag up on my zekrom, i have 3 counter on him. i decided to go with a bold plan. i use outrage and hope to flip tails, so that i can get my zekrom at 60 and hope he kills me with yanmega. he does and i simply bring up tornadus and put his yanmega at 100 total. (2 ranbow and huricane). he drags up my other tornadus but i had a open bench with shaymin in my hand. i move around and promote tornadus with 2 dce so i dont move energies around. i ko his last mew, and he scoops by attaching a rainbow to his 100 hp yanmega.
great game. you had me on my toes for a while. awsome game. had me thinking all game forcing me not to make misplays. its games like this that pushes me to keep playing the game.

round 3- nick ferrier stage 1
i am so glad i get to play nick. hes a geat guy and hes really good player. he won yesterday's BR somewhere. i get a god awful hand. zekrom active, with defenders, pluspowers and junk arms in hand. but nick has equally atrocious start. he manaphy his hand but it seemed like it didnt help. we draw pass for good 3 turns till i top deck a gear. i get a juniper, and i draw into more crap. nick top decks a judge, use it and he still has a terrible hand and so do i. but i get a junkarm which allows me to get a gear for supportor to get my game going. once i got out of bad hand, iwent through his field of basics. he had 3 zoroas down. if he set up i think i would have lost.
i want to say good game, but it was a terrible game for both of us. hopefully we get a legit game in next time.

This was by far the dumbest match ive seen.
i start with garbage again, with tornadus active. he starts tornadus, we flip, and i go first. i attach lightning and announce energy wheel, which doesnt do anything. he attaches lightning and energy wheel. i draw, attach lightning energy wheel. he draws, attach lightning energy wheel. i draw attach lightning and hurricane. and he draws attach lightning and hurricane. then hurricane for game.
we both draw crap, and wow.i wwon because i went first. ridiculous.

round 5- vincent goth
i start the game with solid hand and tornadus start with zekrom on the bench. he starts double solosis. i kicked myself for putting out tornadus first, since i had DCE and plus power to KO solosis. but i wouldnt have known what he started with. after few turns, he eeks, and draws 7. i catcher u his solosis to Ko it but a catcher comes out underneath the solosis. at this point i was like "wtf?" since it came out of no where. we resolve the issue and play on. he eeks again, and i catcher up his 2nd solosis which allows me to take the rest of the prizes easy.
gg, that catcehr thing was bizzare.
so 5-0, number 1 seed going into top cut im happy.

game 1. i knew him since he goes to the same league as i do. i open with tornadus and colletor and he has 2 cyndaquils. i go first and pull off a turn 1 hurricane. he collectors for 2 cyndaquils and reshiram. i end up killing 2 cyndaquils early before he has his deck going. he KOs my tornadus with reshi which i respond with bolt strike. he responds with reshi again, and i respond with zekrom again. he then gets out 2 typhlosions and another reshi and i know im in trouble. i decide that i have to take my last prizes on the two ninetales he has. somehow i had my zekrom with 70 dmg on it. i catcher up ninetales and ko it. he responds with reshiram, and puts 2 counters on it. at this point i realize taht there is only 1 catcehr and 2 junkarms remaing in the deck. i think for a moment and drop 2 plusp powers on tornadus, and pont. my idea here was that now i need a pp, or catcher, or junk arm allowing me more chances. i draw into the plus power and i ko his reshiram for game.
game 2. he opens with reshiram and 2 cyndaquils. he attaches and passes. i open with shaymin, attach to shaymin and pont. i drop a zekrom and pass. he then wastes alot of resources trying to set up and leaves his hand at 3 with only cyndaquil, quilava, and reshiram. i managed to set up and i went through them pretty quicky.
great game. congrats on top cutting.

Frankie- zekrom.
game 1.i open with tornadus to his tornadus. immediately, frankie makes a joke relating to the swiss round. i go first, collector and attach, then energy wheel
. he then does dual ball and colletor, drops pachi with 2 energies on it but doesnt move it. i immediately catcher up the pachi to kill it. frankie sets up more outraging/ bolt striking. and so do i. at one point i was able to grab all the right cards to get a ko on his fresh zekrom. i eventually win game 1.
game 2. i open tornadus to his zekrom. he attaches paly dual ball and get 1 heads which he gets unknown dark. i attach and pokegear and wiff. i junk arm for gear, and i wiff. i then do whatever i can to draw a basic and i wiff. frankie then rolls 1 head on the dual ball which gets him the donk.
game 3. i open with shaymin. and he opens with zekrom. i have a good hand but without collector its useless. i pokegear, and wiff on collector. i am then forced to juniper the hand to draw into a basic, zekrom. frankie sets up his board with a shuckle and unown D. he gets 2 heads on dual ball and attach and KO shaymin. i then use junk arm for pokegear and wiff on collector. i junkarm again and i wiff. i am furious at the fact that i got 5 wiffs on the collector with gears in total for game 2 and 3. i then oak into a 2nd zekrom and i bench it. frankie proceeds to hit 2 heads on dual again, and says he got me. he seekers, pachi, shaymin, retreat, junkarm for plus power for game. i got up and laughed at the fact that he had enough cards to do that. we shake hands and end the day.
great game frankie. your a great player and i enjoyed playing against you.
