Zooming in on the pics shows me that the rarity is "R" which is the way Japanese cards designate rares. It also looks to be holofoil if you look really closely. Still, Erik speaks the truth. You only really need one thanks to the special rulings for this type of trainer.

Won't that mean that once you pull your one, any additional will be annoying?

haha, "additional" ultra rares?! I was 42 packs into dark explorers and didn't pull a single ultra rare (I refuse to
buy packs now). if "ace spec" cards continue to be as powerful as the two they've revealed, I'll be glad to run into 1 and claim I have a playset.

I do see your point, but im sure they'll be trade worthy nonetheless.

edit: sorry, you didn't mention ultra-rarity. hmm.. even holo rares have gotten rarer with recent sets I think (didnt EXs take the place of
holo rares beginning with next destinies?). so yeah, 1 or 2 a box means that you'll still have some for trade or sell.

I don't think these things will be ultra rare or even rare. They'll probably be uncommon. Little kids would be really upset if they pulled an item card as their rare in their packs.

I think we are going to be getting a bunch of these too. The dragon Kyurem EX's are 41/59, leaving 18 more cards in each set for a total of 36. I think there will probably be Ace Specs for all of the existing EX's, and probably some other groovy Pokemon like Charizard and Blastoise too.

I really think these will be really good for the game. Now you'll have to figure out ways to deal with certain Pokemon and then on top of that, figure out ways how to deal with Pokemon when they have their ace specs attached.

Golden Catcher, Full Art N, and Time-Space Distortion are all Secret Rare or Ultra Rare Trainers.

I wouldn't mind if these new tool cards are ultra rares since you're only allowed to run 1 in your deck. Although the funny thing is, even if there is a good way to search them out and recover them via Sableye they're still not playable.

I think we are all forgetting about Recycle which i believe will be the next Junk Arm until a possible reprint. Even though Recycle is an iffy card but i think its perfectly usable. Especially with the looming rotation. A vastly underrated card imo.

A properly rated card imo. Iffy as a flip, and is likely useless until your next turn.

People are really overreacting about this card. Making 300hp on a dragon weak Pokemon doesn't make a difference, mainly because Rayquaza EX, White Kyurem and Black Kyurem EX all OHKO it, all of which besides Black Kyurem EX will be meta relavent (I think White Kyurem and Rayquaza could be good in a boar deck). If you took 4 prizes for knocking this thing out with Ace Spec attached, it would be one of the worst cards ever printed in the game. And its attacks suck compared to some other dragons. The only place I see it dominating is Unlimited.

Guys, these things have horrendous attacks. even if you can get a black kyurem ex out and 300 HP'd up, it does 60 for 3 energies. that doesn't even ohko most dragons without a pluspower! Its second attack requires 4 energies for 150 and then it can't use it the next turn. That means everything it hits is likely to be a 2hko, making it's ridiculous damage output kinda pointless. Even with 300 hp he is a guaranteed 2hko from garchomp and easy 2hko from darkrai if tool scrapper is run. the paralysis on his first attack evens the prize trade at best. White kyurem seems to have better chances of being usable, because using emboar means a small chance to attack turn 2, but it still requires a lot of energy to start. Not to mention how easily it's handled by Gartaria and Darkrai/Hydreigon. Plus you can only run one Ace Spec card per deck, meaning not ONLY do you have to hope it isn't prized, but you also have to hope you can draw into it with supporters. Given White Kyurem ex would have ridiculous ohko potential, unless they come out with a consistent way to use Ace Spec cards, White Kyurem ex will just be one of those cards that's almost playable. I'd rather run Throh DRE/ Fliptini

EDIT: of course this all changes if something's goofy with the translations.

Didn't stop people from playing Reversal before catcher.
