Can you weather any of Virginia's 4 Stormfront prereleases? No umbrella or raincoat required as you open up the newest cards--before they are sold in stores--and be among the first trainers to forecast the changes the phenomenon will bring.

*Formats:

Fairfax and Warrenton are supporting two formats (while supplies last), the Sealed Deck and Theme Deck Challenge. At this time, Virginia Beach and Midlothian are supporting only the Sealed Deck format.

Sealed Deck (main event): This is the standard prerelease format. Players create 40-card decks, not limited by the 4-per-name rule, from the cards they receive in 6 Stormfront booster packs and play in a tournament. Basic energy cards will be provided and needs to be returned at the end of the event. Each player receives a promotional card (while supplies last), a pack of 60 card sleeves (while supplies last), and 2 additional booster packs (while supplies last) at the end of the event. This format is recommended for veteran/experienced and returning players.

Theme Deck Challenge: Players select from the theme decks of the Stormfront set. Without changing the deck, players play in a tournament in which only other theme deck challenge players participate (the Sealed Deck players play in their own tournament). They keep all of the deck's contents. Each player receives a promotional card (while supplies last), a pack of 60 card sleeves (while supplies last), and 4 additional booster packs (while supplies last) at the end of the event. This format is recommended for players whose skills at deck construction are not too strong, rookie players, and returning players.

*Entry fee: $25 per player.

Warrenton, Virginia Beach, and Midlothian will have time allotted for breaks.

Wow, here I am about to post my prereleases and I've been beaten by Shadow Card!!

Can I declare Shenanigans??

Actually, a few corrections:
Lunch breaks WILL be at all locations EXCEPT Fairfax to allow for fight 2 to start on time!

Warrenton MAY want preregistration--I'll check with Mary I.

I expect to do the TDC at Fairfax and Warrenton ONLY(first weekend of pre's)

There is a Hardee's and a Papa Johns a stone's throw from Comic Kings in VA Beach (King Comics??)

I will most likely be at Fairfax.

I also call dibs on a box. =]

And if anyone wants to know, I've written up an Alegbra Formula for Tyranitar, so there is no confusion.

you arn't the only midlo one going to a prerelease or 2, Mr T, Pat, and the wasington's are probably going as well

You don't get the point? You get 8 packs of an un-released set for relatively cheap, can discus the new strategy's with friends, test the new cards, and all in all, have a good time.

Plus, if you buy 8 packs for retail sale price, you spend $32 + tax. At the prerelease, you pay $25 for 8 packs, a promotional card, and a pack of sleeves. You can never have too many sleeves. Plus, if you don't like the sleeves, you can give/sell them.

I can just look at the japanese spoilers to find out what the cards do. Yes, the cards are cheaper ,
but twenty dollars in gas makes it more expensive in the long run. It would be fun though.............................................................................................................. Maybe I'll go to one.

The Washingtons are not going to ALL the PreReleases this time around.

1 - We hit like all FOUR preReleases last time and didn't pull a single LvX .. (we ended up just buying 2 boxes just to get the cards we needed .. do the math.. and grimmace accordingly)

2 - We're just gonna invest in a box or two so WE KNOW we'll get a couple of LvXs this time around because...

Washington's + 4 prereleases = ($75 x 3) x 4 events
that's $300 for registration + ($50 gas/food ea. trip x4) = $500
add 2 boxes @ $90 ea. = $680 ... whoa!

So... I'm thinkin' .. we're doin' ONE .. and that's about it...
