PROPS to Totoro for BEASTIN' the tournament circuit thing in VA.

I've been lurking around in other state's threads and VA is just AMAZING when it comes to access to premier offerings.

The league availablity seems to be HOTTNESS in our state as well.

Some states seem to have like ... ONE LEAGUE and there's about five states who don't have ANY leagues or tournaments.

I never realized how lucky we were to have so many grown-folks volunteering to keep all of this maintained.

Anyway...

I'm thinking the Washingtons are doing Richmond Comix. If the list hasn't filled yet.
I should probably be calling rather than typing eh ? :lol:

Well, the whole area is really lucky. MD has Tara and Laurel who can pretty much cover MD between Rockville and Lusby. And NC/SC has Randy and Jeff who are both completely amazing in their dedication to the game (and mad traveling skills)

I think the whole area has it pretty good!!!:thumb:

It's really interesting when you compare it to what we used to have. Back 4 years ago, there were only 2 tournament locations: Woodbridge and Midlothian. Back then, my opinion was to go to all the tournaments that I could because Virginia was not a hotspot for Pokemon and we were lucky to have any. I remember a time when Virginia had NO tournaments under the current POP. It was also an excuse to hang out with friends.
When I hear people in VA say "I'm skipping [most/all] of these tournament because of the low K-Value," it makes me wonder if VA has too many tournaments. I remember the time when there was no more than 2 tournaments in VA, and if you even wanted to play competitively, those were your options no matter how unimportant you thought the tournament was.
Now, my opinion is to go to all the tournaments you can before you get as old as me and have to be at work all the time or get hauled off to weekend fieldtrips for geology. Back when we had few tournaments, I could go to all of them, but now, I can't ask off for all the tournaments and expect to keep my job at the same time :redface:.

It is amazing how many leagues have sprung up. Back a couple of years ago, there were only 5 leagues--and 2 of them were mine :lol: .

Tell me about it. For the past week I've been busy from the time I wake up at 5:30 untill the time I go to bed, sometime around 9:30 - 10:30. The only way I get this in is literally when I'm in bed. My laptop is right next to my head so I can listen to music.

What flight will you be in?
 
Guess I need to remind people that Fairfax and Warrenton are this week.

Yeah, 8th grade sucked. 7th and 9th grade were so much better. On that note, I was assigned a school for my field experience. Oddly, I was given a middle school instead of a high school. Said middle school was the same one I went to, so I'm kind of afraid to see any of my former teachers.
 
Totoro, when used to compare numbers, which is correct, fewer or less? (Example: I have 2 prize cards remaining and my opponent has 5. Do I have fewer prize cards left, or less?) Shadowcard said it's less, but I think he's wrong.

Any chance of a booster draft at Warrenton or Fairfax?

You have fewer.

You use "less" with mass nouns and "fewer" with count nouns.

You were on Pokegym at 1:00 a.m.??
 
the good thing about flight 1 is if a little kid pulls a dusknoir lv X or raichu lv X u can trade your lousy heatran or regigigas lv X (which will soon come out in tins) for them because the little kids are like wow a legendary pokemon that can do 100 dmge:eek: my dusknoir lv X cant do any damage so will u trade please. well... ok but u got lucky this time. inside my mind *ha ha what a n00b i just got myself a dusknoir lv X* back to reality... so u take care of that regigigas lv X u hear bye bye now.
