Had an issue come up today with this and would like to get some input for a ruling on this.. so the cards

HOLON PHANTOM FLYGON delta species

:grass:M:colorless SWIFT 60
This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poke- Powers, Poke- Bodies, or any otehr effects on the Defending Pokemon.

DRAGON FRONTIERS KINGDRA EX delta species

POKE-BODY: EXTRA SMOKE

Any damage done to your Stage 2 Pokemon-ex by your opponent's attack is reduced by 10 (befroe applying Weakness and Resistance).

So here is the question:

Player A has a Flygon d Active and uses the Attack SWIFT.
Player B has a Stage 2 Pokemon-ex Active (Not Kingdra ex Delta) and a Kingdra ex Delta Benched.

Since Extra Smoke is located on Kingdra Ex delta and NOT the Defending Stage 2 Pokemon-ex, do you still reduce the attack by 10 (with one Kingdra out of course) or does SWIFT go through this even though the PokeBODY is on a Benched Kingdra EX d??

Thanks!

It's not where the source of the effect comes from, it's where it is applied.
Since the reduction is before W&R, that indicated that it sits on the Pokemon doing the attack.
So the reduction happens!

So does swift go through the reducton to hit for a FULL 60 since Swift ignores all affects??

No, what Pop is saying is that the effect is on Flygon d. Swift ignores all effects on the Defending Pokemon, but it does not say to ignore effects on Flygon itself. The attack is reduced. If Extra Smoke placed the effect on the Defending Pokemon, then Flygon would ignore it. However, the reduction happens before W&R, which indicates the effect is on Flygon, the attacking Pokemon. Effects on the Defending Pokemon are applied after W&R.
