Iron Chef Leader
As some of my friends found out during Nationals or previously have known. Nationals was my last event I was playing in. I am leaving for the Navy July 27th and I believe I am done with Pokemon. I do say this now, I am sure I may make occasional appearances.
My report!
I am Nathan Woolery btw
I take a train to St. Louis with my friend Jesse Egan. We arrive and take the metro to the Convention Center. We meet up with one of the great pokemon 'people" Mr. Jerry Ehlers. This guy is one of the nicest guys and most generous guy you may ever meet. We stayed with him and his daughter basically for free. great man!
I get some shiny cards from him because I am a noob and I want my deck all shiny
I meet up with some fellow Hatter members, meet some other people. Look at a couple cute girls and question if they want to trade cards

My memory has lost me and I don't remember anything at all.
Round 1 (Jamie-Flygon/Weavile)
Uxie start with no energy til turn 3. He gets Claydol, Weavile, Flygon T-1. Ouch. I work some magic and try to get ko's by sack'ing Gengars. I flip Tails. GG

Round 2 (Lady-BalsttyCatt)
I don't get energy til turn 3:O. She doesn't get much of a setup either. I start setting up gengar and she doesnt use Unown G at all. GG

Round 3 (Lady-Monarchy???)
I do get energy t-1, and she gets a horrible setup. I do not see the deck at all. She scoops after 3 turns.

Round 4(A dude-TTAR WITH NO UNOWN G:O)
I see I have a Baltoy start, he has a Sableye start. I am scared. if he has a special dark, he wins. He whiffs on energy. wOOt. I get going, and just snipe away. He says he doesn't need Unown G, I disagree but it's ok. I win pretty easily..and I normally worry about this matchup. No Unown G =gg

Round 7 (Matt Alvis-Palkia Lock)
YAY, my toughest matchup, I am so excited. And it's also against a solid player. Im soo excited. I get a solid setup as does he. I setup a Gengar with 2 energy, drop a Cresslia. I see he has 5 cards in hand and I know it's a misplay to poltergeist when I can just Shadow room is active Palkia X. I decide that free information is what I need. I poltergeist and see 4 TRAINERS...he admits he misplays. I get the ko, and say we may have an opening
He brings up an Azelf and now im stoked. He attaches to something to someone. my turn, I say how silly could this be. I retreat my gengar, attach to my Cresslia. Level up, and play LUCIANS!!!!!!! I love this card...
I move a damage counter to his Azelf and I ko and grab 2 prizes. he is unable to recover. great game sir!

Round 8 (Jim Roll-Flygon/Weavile)
I am excited cuz I know how to beat this deck unless he gets a god setup. we both get a tremendously terrible start, he has a ditto with 3 energy. then he plays Lucian and then we have a game. We exchange prizes...I start steam-rolling. He make a great comeback but time was called and I win on time. We play on and I end up winning. He admits he misplayed and he should have won. great game!

Game-1
This was a trerrible game. I get absolutly no energy, no claydol, no supporter. I somehow top deck Gengar's and make him ko them and I flip heads. Im winning on prizes but I sccoop after I run out of gengars.
Game-2
He gets an Uxie startI get a gastly start. He goes 1st, and attaches. He says, I want to see if you can donk me here. He shows me 2 basics in hand and he feels soo bad how the last game went down. I try my best for the ko. I flip head for Poke Blower. I work some magic and get a rare candy and GENGAR...but zero energy
Pass. He gets an amazing start from their but I snipe everything. I somehow take 4 prizes in 10 minutes to force a Game 3.
Game 3-
I go, get a god start. Almost pull a donk, but I place 6 damage counters on his uxie. He whiffs on 2 cards he needs for the donk. he passes. I attack again and win!
GG!!!!

I believe her name was Emily -Palkia Lock(toughest matchup I have, idk why)
Game 1- She tears me up with the lock, I cant do anything I scoop quickly.
Game 2-She locks me up AGAIN I pull something that made me sick to my stomach...she lays down a Mesprit and forgets to call her power. I said it's too late, I admit I feel sooo bad saying that because if she power locked me again I lose. I HAD to do it no matter how bad it made me feel. BUT, she grabs another mesprit and this time she didn't forget. I lose all hope. I really can work some magic and maybe take some prizes. I just feel it's not worth it...I'm tired, annoyed, and just feel outplayed. I scoop and I am eliminated
I had a great time meeting new people. Seeing old faces!!
I wish I could have had a better showing, I know I could have done better than how I played. I was still happy I did make top 64.
This was a fun LAST tournament I have ever played. I will miss this game and the people this game has allowed me to meet.

This was a fun LAST tournament I have ever played. I will miss this game and the people this game has allowed me to meet.
