this is an advanced strategy that the slightest misplay will ripple you. that being said, i'm sure this deck can be tweeked further. any help is appreciated, but please only make suggestions if you understand the strategy.

Pokemon 24
2-1-2-1 Flygon Lv. X
4-4-4 Rhyperior
2-2 Absol G Lv. X
1-1 Dialga Lv. X

Trainers 36
4 Roseanne
4 Super Scoop Up
4 Poke Turn
4 Bebe
4 Rare Candy
2 Broken Time Space
2 Speed Stadium
3 Night Pokemon Center
2 Cyrus
2 Night Maintenance
2 SP Radar
2 Warp Point
1 Luxury Ball

Absol G 70HP

:dark: Faint Attack
だましうち
Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokémon. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on the Defending Pokémon.

:dark::colorless:colorless Destruction Notice
はめつのしらせ
Return all Energy attached to Absol Pokémon G to your hand. The Pokémon hit by this attack is Knocked Out at the end of your opponent's next turn.

weakness :fighting: x2 resisance :psychic: -20 retreat :colorless

Absol G Lv. X 100HP

Poké-POWER Send to Darkness
エネリサイクル
Once during your turn (before your attack), when you put Absol Pokémon G LV.X from your hand onto your Active Absol Pokémon G, you may flip 3 coins. For each heads, place 1 card from your opponent's deck into the Lost Zone.

:dark::colorless Dark Slugger
ダークスラッガー 30+
You may discard 1 card from your hand. If you do, this attack does 30 damage plus 30 more damage.

Level-Up Rule
Put this card onto your Active Absol Pokémon G. Absol Pokémon G LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous Level.

weakness :fighting: x2 resistance :psychic: -20 retreat :colorless

Strategy
obviously, with no energy it's to deck your opponent. everyone starts out with only 47 cards (or less depending on mulligan draws) in their deck and here's how you dismantle it:

- Flygon is your preferred active Pokemon without fail. His body discards one from your opponent's deck between turns.

- When you evolve to Rhyperior, you discard the top 3 of your opponent's deck. couple it with SSU for massive discarding (up to 24 during the course of a game).

-Absol G Lv. X puts up to 3 cards (coin flip) from your opponent's deck into the lost zone. Couple it with Poke Turn to Lost Zone a third of your opponent's deck (up to 18 during the course of a game).

-Dialga's body Time Aura significantly slows my opponent's roll if i happen to start with it and since i can't attack, the Lv. X can do nothing but help this deck by ending your opponent's turn as soon as they draw.

- Night maintenance can get your ko'd discarders back to you so you can discard even more.

- Speed Stadium is a win win in this deck. it helps you get set up faster and hopefully my opponent will be lulled into using it early for extra draw power as well.

-BTS is a must so you can evolve, scoop, evolve to speed up the discarding.

I think you should take out the dialga g x in this deck. it's body shuts off flygon's bodies so it kinda just makes you kill yourself. No body plays shiftry anyway (unless they're a REALLY rogue player.) So i think you should try this

-1-1 dialga g x

+2 premiere ball because you need to get your xes back from the discard and out of your deck if you can't draw anything.

wow, very interesting, but really, this depends on them not using trainer or power lock. id add 2 mesprit LA, tho im not really sure what to take out.

thanks! that was a major oversight on my part! it's not like many people are playing the Shiftry anyhow! i'll definitely make that change

i don't think that will hurt this deck too much. remember i am discarding most of their deck, so unless i have horrible luck, i should be able to discard much of the "locks" before they pull them.

i would like to work in 4 night pokemon centers for the random complete healing of damage, 4 cyrus to get me those tgi's quickly, and even a couple of lookers to make my opponent draw when he doesn't want to, but i can't seem to find anything to take out in order to do so.

try move on the offensive/annoying side by adding bronzong MD tech...

since you're doing no energy jirachi LA can be a friend too

4 rare candies please...

thanks, but Bronzong doesn't fit the strategy of this deck at all. i just did a revamp to the trainer engine, with 4 candies among other things, after play testing with proxies. runs alot smoother and quicker now. changes reflected up top :)

Great deck idea and pretty neat

One thing is that u put in dialga lv.x GE while some may mistake it for the SP.

Great idea for a deckout deck in modiefied format

I cant suggest anything but it looks good

i was thinking of a deck just liek this and think that it can be very effective because people are running throught there decks using uxie and claydol this might be a popular deck next set

and the best part is their decks DEPEND on them cycling through them so quickly :)

CC- what i'm really looking for is something to make my opponent draw when they don't want to, like imposter oak did. i thought my answer was Exeggutor LA until i noticed the "up to" clause. have i overlooked something?

and i do understand how speed stadium could be a double edged sword by letting my opponent possibly draw what they need before i can discard it. you don't think it's worth the risk?

i would add absol from SW. For 1 colorless energy you get to discard a card without looking at it. If its a stadium, supporter or trainer card, you get to discard another one. that one, possibly/probably 2 cards every turn. good for early game until you get flygon lv x active. also i would look into ambipom from MT. for 2 colors it gives your opponent the choise to either discard 2 cards and only take 10 damage or not discard any and take 80 so you punish them for not discard. this deck would work well but i think you need something for early game. nice idea though.

Only problem with this idea is that its a deck that runs with no energy

This is actually a fairly interesting angle to the game... Discarding cards from your oppenents deck in heavy
quantities can really put a dent in your opponent's stradegy... especially when critical cards are being discarded...

I have absolutly nothing to add to this... Pretty nice deck...

i understand that the deck runs on no energy, but the objective of this deck is to make your opponent deck out, and the suggestions that i had made are what i believe to be more effective and efficient ways to make your opponent deck out, but thanks for playing

I'm preeettyyy sure that the idea is for them to deck out with you not having to include energy

hahaha so your saying that you would rather have a deck with an objective and go about in a mediocre manner and possibly not complete that objective so you can say "look mom, no energy" instead of using the most effective means possible??

hahahahahahaha

im preeeettyy sure this isnt your thread :lol: unless i am mistaken, so i gave advice to the deck maker and they can take it as they please

i looked at the absol and it really clogged the deck up. the ambipom, however is an interesting one i overlooked. it would take changing the trainer engine significantly, which is doable. if i did this, i might take out the Dialga.

I'm beta testing (LOL) it right now with some proxies. if it feels like it's missing something on the consistency, i'll give this a shot. it'll also give me the chance to get some of my prizes (which could be very good) that i may need along the way to decking my opponent.

while it's true i would like to keep it no energy, i want a deck that will consitently win as well. thanks for the suggestion and i will keep it in mind :)

everybody else

thanks for sticking up for the no energy idea. i based it (the idea anyway) off a gen1 deck my son and i did very well with, before sneasel, which also ran no energy.
