4 treeko - your choice
4 grovyle - also your choice
2 sceptile - energy trans
2 sceptile - lizard poison (because sceptile -ex is overrated, and not much better than this guy)
3 Skyridge Ditto
2 clamperl
2 gorebyss
4 dunsparce (SS)
Total: 23

4 Mr. Briney's Compassion (or Nurse, or some combination of the two)
4 Steven's Advice
4 Copycat
2 Professor Oak's Research
2 PETM
2 switch
1 ATM rock
2 low pressure system
1 Town Volunteers
Total: 22

4 DRE
11 Grass
Total: 15

The concept:

Early game, this sets up like any other sceptile. Get your transers out early, use lizard poison to hit, etc. Heal when necessary. The beastly combo is skyridge ditto's pokemon power, which changes the energy attached to it to energy of all types, and gorebyss. When you're ready, transfer your oh, say, seven grass energy to ditto, slap a DRE on gorebyss, and you've got an instant 9 psychic in play on your side. Even better would be to have two ditto down so that you don't have to commit all your energy to one. The water resistance of sceptile is nice, LP sceptile + DRE is nicer, and gorebyss protects you vs. fire.

Yay.

NOTE: Post edited to correct numbers of cards.

Is Ditto's power really worded that way?

If so...

OMG, that was truly the most innovative thinking since Jermy created BAR. Seriously, this is...

Whoa.

Awesome.

Like Woop Says if thats true.............
Thats great if worded like that

Lol, Gorebyss has found its true calling.

Maybe add in some Desert RUins sine you're not using Sceptile ex. And add a TeCH Wobbuffet to keep some of the energy safe on, since Ditto can be hit on the bench, and Wobbuffet isn't hit by V.Ash. Then you could shift all the energy from Wobby to Ditto.

This is a piece of work, I'll tell you that.

Must...playtest...0_o

Excellant lateral thinking!! Good deck- 9 out of 10! Would have been 10 but I believe you have put in 5 Sceptiles!!;)

Oops, yeah, he did. Maybe go 2 Trans 2 Lizard Poison/EX, depending on preference. personally, ima play Sceptile ex in my testing, but either way, this is the shizzle.

Its ok, but I dont see how this is better than Gardy/Gorebyss. That gets out psychic energy way faster, and psychic is one of the best types right now. Im a little confused, maybe you can help me see the godliness?

1) Sceptile moves the energy
2) Ditto can pwn Rayquaza and copy VAsh from bex
3) The decks weaknesses are covered extremely well
4) Sceptile flat out pwns any water decks
5) Everything is nurseable
6) The deck beats Gardy (Sceptile pwns it, Gorebyss owns it)

4 treeko
4 grovyle
2 sceptile - energy trans
2 sceptile - lizard poison
3 Skyridge Ditto
2 clamperl
2 gorebyss
4 dunsparce

3 Pokemon Nurse
4 Steven's Advice
4 Copycat
2 Professor Oak's Research
2 Desert Ruins
2 switch
1 ATM rock

4 DRE
13 Grass

2 Spots? hm....2 draw cards, or -1 Grass +3 Reversal...Which i think would pwn....

y not play ancient tomb to tech blaze
it will prevent then from being OHKOed by blaze cept the energy trans one

This is an absolutely wonderful idea! It will not be much fun against Muk EX, but you can't beat everything.

It is important to prevent BEX from knocking out the energy trans Sceptiles on the bench (so important that we may have to add a third LPS, I think most decks will have to play countergyms now), the deck doesn't work so well once they are gone. Not playing Ancient Tomb could also allow us to go closer to the original deck with the fifth Sceptile being EX.

Duh on my part...so used to playing the -ex'es that the 5 sceptile thing slipped my mind. Yeah, drop an energy transer, add in anything you want. Desert ruins might be good, another nurse couldn't hurt, more card drawing, the fourth dunsparce (ran three because Ditto performs that service pretty well early game too).

I've playtested this several times, and it does VERY well....so far, I've played three games, and had the opponent say, "Oh (word not appropriate for boards)" when they got the combo, once gorebyss came up and hit for the tune of about 120 damage, followed by a sceptile that hit for 70, followed by a ditto that copied their volcanic ash, followed by another gorebyss....

Very nice combo. I don't know if it's as godly as Blaziken though. You still need the time to get all that nrg on the field. 6 to ko Bex or something like that. This does look like it can get to a dominating level. Only caution is the low HP on Gorebyss and Ditto. Bex can always ko one of them and Garde will get the occasional Reversal. Nice deck. :)

Great deck and as i like creative thoughts i love this idea in my opinion 2 nurse 2 britneys is godly u may need a way to get energy from your discard pile just in case. It seems that it can beet most dominating decks gorebys is good vs Gardvoir , Blaziken dito helps too plus skeptile can help vs Swampert ,it looks that it will have future . In my opinion
3 gorebys ,3 clamberl would be better. Good luck for your deck

I revised the initial post, to correct the sceptile # error and a total card # error. I also added a town volunteers in lieu of a grass energy, since, well, 1 TV=5 grass in the right situation.

Also, I'd love to see someone post who is vehement about including sceptile -ex. I'm just not sold on that card. In fact, I don't think it's as good as the lizard poison sceptile (double weakness and -ex rule, weakness to desert ruins, dodgy every-other-turn third attack), but I'd welcome a differing opinion, just to make sure I've not missed something in my consideration of the card.

Finally, I'd like to tweak the total #of energy...I'd like it to be higher, if possible, but I'm struggling to find the space. There are 10 pure draw cards, which I think is enough, along with the 2 PETM. The pokemon lines are tight, much like a BAR or RAMBO deck...not too much space to work with. One thing that could be done, though it makes me nervous to even say this, is to drop the dunsparce (yikes!), up the ditto to 4, add 2 pokemon fan club or dual ball, and use the extra spot for an energy. Ditto will mimic others dunsparce or wynaut for you....Wurmple is not an option here, by the way, for you wurmple lovers.

I think Wooper said it pretty well...

I don't understand. I know Ditto changes the grass to psychic, but how is it better than just making a psychic deck with psychic energy and gorebyss?

1) Sceptile can move the energy around
2) Therefore, everything is nurseable
3) The deck pwns water, cuz Sceptile ex is in it
4) The deck pwns Gardy, cuz Sceptile pwns Gardy, and Gorebyss pwns Gardy
5) Ditto can copy VAsh from Bex and KO Rayquaza
6) Weaknesses are covered extremely well (Sceptile < Fire < Gorebyss)

So I guess this deck's worst nightmare would be (a) Muk EX shutting down powers or (b) a Blaze EX reaching back to your bench and knocking out the Ditto with all the energy attached.
