Hello all,
This is actually my first deck in a long, long time. I'm a little rusty, but I like the concept of it, and ask for your help, especially with the Trainers. This will be for the next format, since that's when I'll make my return to the game.
Acceleration
DP-On Modified
Pokemon: 20
4 Celebi (SW)
4 Treecko
2 Grovyle
4 Sceptile
3 Tangela
3 Tangrowth
Energy: 16
13 Grass
3 Call
Trainers: 24
4 Roseanne's Research
4 Bebe's Search
4 Rare Candy
3 Professor Oak's Visit
3 Felicity's Drawing
3 Master Ball
2 Warp Point
1 Night Maintenance
Strategy: I believe (from my limited view of the cards/potential format) that energy acceleration will be a pretty important component of the game next season with the loss of DRE and Scramble Energy. So cards like Togekiss, Electivire (SW), and Typhlosion jump out at me. Another card I've grown fond of is Celebi from Secret Wonders. I like how it sets the deck up by getting energy from the deck with Sprouting for free, and then the use of Leaf Tornado allows for energy movement. Then with the addition of Sceptile to the mix, those two energy become four. I understand Leafeon/Leafeon LvX, but to be honest, I actually prefer Tangrowth. They both max out at needing 2 energy to attack. Tangrowth also has Bench hitting, as well as healing, little bit greater HP. Also, I think Tangela is a better starter than Eevee, since it can disrupt setup. I added in Call Energy to give me additional options if I cannot start with Celebi and have to start with Treecko or Tangela. It might be overkill on Pokemon Searching, but that's what Felicity's Drawing is for mid-game, to clear my hand of excess debris. I'd rather have over-searching early, than not enough. I'm going for fast and consistent.
Thoughts and help are appreciated in advance,
~Jim
