Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

After-hours Board-gaming at Nats

I am definitely in for Ticket to Ride, Carcassone, Dominion, Power Grid...does anyone have Trailer Park Wars or Wasabi? They're both awesome too.

Oh, and I am addicted to Scrabble. I will bring my travel scrabble if anyone wants to play with me. :)

Red Dragon Inn is a great game that I would play as well. Zot is such a fun deck to play. Do you have the expansion?

Zot is a very fun deck to play. I don't have the expansion, do you happen to? Better yet does anyone that is happening to attend/posting in this thread happen to have the expansion? I am thinking about picking it up before I heard to St. Louis if I have the money.

That or I am going to buy a copy of Munchkin, just so we have another one there, and I have a copy for myself.

Another game that I am thinking of getting is called:Dungeons & Dragons Inn Fighting, It's a lot like Red Dragon Inn only with more dice and less cards, it's real fun, and quite easy to pick up.

Bang was mentioned in the thread, anyone have expansions? And I am so there for Bang!

Do we have a time/location for this? I assume we are just doing it at the America's Center after Day 1 of Nats?

I've not seen what's available for play areas. From what some PTOs have told me, I think we'll "play it by ear." I'm arriving Wednesday night next week. I'll post something here when I get there.

For now, plan on something every day/night after-hours from Thursday-Sunday at America's Center. I'll post some signs - if they'll allow.

There are so many good games people have mentioned. I've got 300+ games but obviously can't bring them all (dang!). But, with everyone bringing a few of their favorites, we should have lots of coverage.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Love Scrabble. Bring your Scrabble dictionary. :thumb:

I've got Wasabi, but might not be able to fit it in. I've played it twice. Love them dipping bowl bits!

I will have all the games I listed above with me and will get as much play in as I can. Since I'm staffing, I'll obviously be totally out on Saturday and Sunday, and they will want some help with set-up and tear-down the other days so I might have to break off and assist for a while, but you can expect to find me at a table every chance I get.

Carcassone anyone? I'll have my copy with me, and will be in town from Thursday afternoon through Monday morning.

I'll probably be bringing my chess board as well. I'll also have Quiddler and Guillotine with me, both really fun and easy-to-learn card games.

I picked up Martin Wallace's Steam at my FLGS yesterday. Add that to the list.

Also, I have an arrangement with a fine upstanding 'Gym member that's sticking with Origins -- they're going to pick up both the Dominion expansion and the Race for the Galaxy expansion and next-day them to me at Nationals. So Friday morning I'll have those as well. My participation in the Professor Cup may be curtailed :biggrin::lol:

Settlers will be cool.

As per my previous post, I bought a copy of Munchkin. It might be the only one there, it might not be, if not, well, we can play more than one game.

Louist-Will you be DMing the game? I would love to finally play a 4e game because it has been a while since I have DMed one, and I will still be a bit rusty on the playing side of things, but I would totally be up for getting a campaign started.

I'd love to play all of this!

Particularly interested in Fluxx, Catan, Risk, D&D, and Werewolf. (Although I haven't a clue how to D&D or Catan, or Fluxx ;p)

I have Lord of the Rings Risk btw if anyone is interested.

I'd say otherwise, but my sister has my copy pretty much padlocked and would probably kill my face if I were to take it.

I LOVE the game though, so I'd be glad to play if you have it/are staying in the Select.

As long as my PTO/staff obligations are met, I am up for this!! I will bring Hive & Coloretto and I have copies of Dominion, Munchkin and Zombie Fluxx and maybe a couple others if I can fit them in my suitcase. I don't know how to play Dominion but I really want to learn if someone is up to teaching me. I hear it's pretty easy to learn. Can't wait!

We have Munchkin, Star Munchkin, and some expansions. I'll toss them in our bags!

I'm taking off in the morning (Wednesday). I'll bring two copies of Dominion, which will probably be one of the more popular games due to it's extreme similarity to a TCG, but much simpler. I've got 4 book boxes of games but will probably scale down to two since I'm bringing a van-load of players (we have to fit everybody's stuff in the back). Anyway, I'm bringing a good mix of easy-play, silly, party, Top-100, and deeper games. I'm not bringing any epic-length games since I'd prefer not to play a 4-8 hours game, though there are plenty of great epic games out there. See you all Thursday night. Keep an eye out for fliers/announcements at America's Center. I'm bringing my PC, so I'll post here too.

Oh, and by the way, this is Nats, so good luck with the main reason we're going to StLouis. Hopefully, we'll find some time to relax from the "stress" after-hours. :)

Drive/Fly safely!

Late update:

Today, 5 of us got together in the Holiday Inn Select to play PowerGrid. Gaming tables are limited in the Holiday Inn. I'll see what's available later at the Convention Center, but because of the Teamsters influence down here, I'm not sure what will happen. For now, keep an eye out for each other looking for boardgames. Currently, I'm planning to meetup again with Steve (Chairman Kaga) for some games at 6pm-ish at Holiday Inn Express (next to the convention center). Watch for us.

Steve,

We brought Wizard, Set and Bananagrams (couldn't really bring any board games with all the cards we ended up bringing!) Still want to meet up with you sometime this weekend. We are at the Drury Inn (apparently on the OPPOSITE side of the convention center from the Holiday Inn.)

Marty
