Ampharos prime and Electivire lvx : any good ?

It is the first thing I thought about when I saw ampharos prime and I didn't see the deck on pokegym. Has anybody tried a decent list ? Or perhaps it's not as good as it looks.

I like it. I also wanted to try this out because with the reprinting of DCE they can both be ready by turn two.
And 'Vire gets rid of the ever popular Expert belt, while saving himself from dmg next turn.

If youd like you can PM me and mabey we can work on a list?

I have a deck list for this idea as I Want to run it myself but the Internet isn't working on my laptop where
my decklist is I will post it when I get it up and running again.

Man, I thought I was the only one who thought of this...

Anyway, yeah, I think it would work. As long as you aren't facing Dialga [G], that is. Plus, setup would be pretty slow, cause you would have to have Electravire X up active, and two or more amphys on the bench by no later than T3. It could be done, but I'm afraid of the inconsistency.

If you had to, you could even fight with amphy. Expert belt makes that thing a BEAST.

Although, I don't know all of that for sure, because I've haven't played it yet. I would love to get a list together with you too, if you'd like.

I think they are both good in some situations, but they both have Fighting Weakness. This makes them highly vulnerable to Donphan and Promocroak G, which will probably be run at States. I think that the deck has enough skill to win some games, but I don't think it has the power to win a big tournament like States or Regionals.

ok now that i have my laptops internet working again here is my deck list's rough draft.

4 mareep(hgss)
3 flaffy(SW)
4 ampharos prime
3 electibuzz(I have not decided which one yet)
2 electivire
2 electivire lvl X
2 baltoy (GE)
2 claydol (GE)
1 Pachirisu

23 pokemon

1 Sunnyshore city gym
3 Roseanne's Research
3 Bebe's Search
3 Rare candy
2 Broken-Time space
2 expertbelt
1 palmers
2 vs seeker
2 volkners philosphy
3 pokemon reversals
1 conductive quarry
2 level max
1 premier ball

26 T/S/S

2 Double colorless energy
2 Call energy
7 Lightning energy

Honestly in my opinion I feel I might be light on the lightning energy, but its a work in progress I can't test till I get another 2 amphiros prime's to build the deck.

You may also want to consider maxing the Sunyshore Gym as it will be vital to your survival.

You also need a counter, like Ninetales to go with the Reversals you already have to take care of the DGX threat.

Thank you for the answers. I reckon it can be slower than most of the top tier decks. But once it is set up, I guess it can be nasty.

If anyone has tested it or will test it, please keep me informed. I don't have electabuzz lines so I can't play it for the moment.

Your right thats a good idea on the ninetails I'll have to do a little bit of thinking on what to take out
to put it in.

Uhhh what? Claydol is the only power in the deck. I take that back the electivre might I have not picked which to use yet. Probably the one with motor drive.

I posted a deck that ran off this idea a few days ago: http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=119134

The problem I came to see is after your opponent attaches their energy, then this deck kind of starts to fall apart. Especially if your opponent's deck runs on just a few energy (Gengar, for example).

I think a better main attacker would be Garchomp, SV. "Dragon Intimidation" works perfectly with this deck.
