There are SO MANY QUESTIONS that I'd have to ask before attempting to give you an answer that you could use.

I don't know how you plan to spread damage. If you're just gonna rock STRAIGHT UP Ampharos, then you definately need to AVOID Rare Candy and plan to push up Flaffy PL alot.

Avoid Claydol and run a thick Uxie/SSU engine to avoid the Crobats shutting your down.

Run VS seekers + Professor Oaks + Wagers + Cynthias to allow you to keep running while the opponent's power is down.

(OR .. consider 1-1-1 Nidoqueen to heal of those Crobat drops that will turn off YOUR claydol.)

You are resistant to Dialga, so a heads-up toggle would end in a PokeTurn or hard-retreat of that Dialga.
I'd consider Infernape LvX over Blaziken so you can push back the spiritombs, mime's, and sacricial actives.

That's just a few things that come to mind.

2-1 PL to SW is ideal. 2-2 will set up the pair quicker.

Actually, I planned on running a similar deck. More solely electric than anything. I would run two of each, because the supporter damage isn't stackable. Also I would add Manectric (w/ bench sheild) to protect your bench, and The electrode w/ radiance as a body. It's good at keeping your opponent from attacking, has a free retreat cost, paralyzes if was hurt during last turn, & for 3 energy a 60swift move that is really usefull. Also add like 1 shedinja, lots of decks them around body's and powers, and since damage would be everywhere on your opponent, you could hit any of them w/ damage.

Either 2 of each or 2-1 PL/SW imo.

I'm also a fan of Nidoqueen in this deck.

This is a big problem and there is no easy answer. The harsh truth is that whatever you do, Dialga will shut this deck down.

If you run an SP Fire tech (and hurt your consistency doing it) Dialga will just Warp Energy to the bench, Level up a Garchomp C, and snipe your tech before you get a chance to use it. Even if you DO manage to KO the Dialga, they are just an Aaron's Collection away from bringing it back.

There is a larger issue here though, which affects a lot of players on the Gym. People decide they want to play a deck cos they like it (nothing wrong with that), realise that it has some horrible match ups, and then, in trying to tech against the autoloss, they bend over backwards so far that they end up crippling the deck they wanted to run in the first place.

Simply put, if you want to beat Dialga decks, Amphytric, even with a Fire tech, is a bad choice.

If it is more important to you to play a deck you enjoy, if no-one in your area uses Dialga, or if you simply don't care about match ups and metagaming, then go for it. Again, there's nothing wrong whatsoever with that.

Well so far the solutions i saw that counter Dialga G lvX well was the Gengar Lvx or Normal pokemon like slaking that don't suffer from their bodies. Just saying.

Yep, there are plenty of things that can counter Dialga G LV X.

Machamp, Gengar LV X, Flygon LV X, dedicated Luxape and Blazeray decks . . .

The point I was making is that, if you want to beat Dialga, then playing one of those decks is a much better solution than trying to tech out Amphytric.

I had always wanted to try a water electric deck. Those starmies that can do 50 for 1 energy & go back into hand are really nice. Maybe that would do it

I would be best probably to run two of each. That way, you don't have to actually play azelf, which can be a big plus. Granted, I don't think you would be very wise to use this deck right now. Even with a fire tech, you'll never beat Dialga. Even Blaze/Luxray decks can have trouble beating Dialga. I think it's best to just wait a little while on this deck.

Good job offering up a few other Pokemon to complement the strategy of Powering the opponent down.
I've tried all of that, however, and the more you tech in, the slower the deck gets and by the time you're up, you're hitting for too little too late

Nontheless. You've earned 1 Guru Point

Awesome input. That really helps him understand why the deck isn't performing well in the current format.

There's Michael!

I like how you gave a suggestion of how you'd run it if you HAD TO while, still, advising him to focus his efforts on a more viable deck choice.

Maybe try a couple Zangoose w/ Expert belt. Zangoose is formidable with invite and strike for 40 and his second attack increases the spread. he is a big help against glisctomb and will only be more of a threat with DCE.

ya i wanted to make it with manectric. and i just wanted to play it as a fun deck. im playin dialga garchomp with a blaziken tech anyways as my serious deck. hahaha.

i just want to make it so it can actually win against most decks. but im not gonna play a cities with it or anything.
