Pokémon Players Join us for our second Annual FREE Anime Demoii Tournament. Sponsored By MAYHEM COMICS and League Des Moines
This awesome tournament will be held at the Drake Olmsted Building (on Drake Campus) 317 6th Ave, Des Moines IOWA
OCTOBER 18th 2014
Registration Starts when the doors open at 11AM
Registration Ends at 12PM
Swiss rounds with age divisions
COST: FREE
There will be around 2 booster boxes split among the top three players in each age division. More information on the prizes will be available on the League Des Moines Facebook page closer to the tournament. Facebook.com/leaguedesmoines
We are not requiring deck sheets however will be doing random deck checks.
The format will be extremely simple:
•All cards must be from the black and white series through the X and Y series Furious Fists.
•ONLY common and uncommon cards can be used. (Which means if it does not have a circle or a diamond in the bottom right hand corner next to the set it is not allowed.)
•PROMO cards are not allowed as they do not have a rarity
•60 card deck
•ALL cards from the above mentioned sets that are commons or uncommon are allowed.
Don't play the card game but play the video game? Great bring along your DS Anime Demoii will be doing an Elite Four Challenge.
Starting at 1PM we will be playing the Board/Card game Pokémon rumble. Each game will consist of seven players and you are given the chance to win free cards/packs. We are going to try and keep rumble playing from 1PM - 6PM so everyone will have a chance to play and even multiple chances if allowed. DID I MENTION IT IS FREE!!!
We will have several small raffles throughout the day as well as a lot of sweet Pokémon stuff for Sale
Also participants under the age of twelve are encouraged to print off one of the coloring sheets on our Facebook page. Color it and turn it in at the convention for a chance to win some fabulous prizes
****IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT ANIME DEMOII****
Anime Demoii is a Japanese Pop Culture Convention so it is important to note that the area we play in will be surrounded by vendors as well as onlookers and particpants of the convention.
Several people will be in costume cosplaying their favorite Japanese anime or characters and you are invited to as well HOWEVER it is important to note that ABSOLUTELY NO latex can be used in the costume as Drake is a LATEX Free school.
