Anyone else sad about the X and Y Basic Energy?

I would've loved to see a slight revamp or maybe something special (perhaps a "SR" print run within the set of specially designed holo energies, or a rare rarity of alternate holo/design energy) would definitely perk my interest instead of bloating our starting set with this stuff. I wanted access to Garchomp EX and Pal Pad and SSU but we have to wait until next set which is such a shame Im hoping the future XY league seasons will provide us with special holo energies, but in the meantime, I'm a bit disappointed with XY in that regard. However, I guess Im not the only one that notices, but the amount of Fairy energy is a lot higher than I thought. @.@ I already have about as much fairy energy from prerelease than if I had gone out and bought the KSS @.@

That's what the KSS, Elite Trainer Boxes, and theme decks are for.

We've had Fairy energy for two months now, for the record.

I will point out that Japan's current only release of Fairy is the standard one, and they're not about to make special designs for everywhere else first. I know it seems like a pretty lame excuse, but that tends to be how the cookie crumbles.

Here's to hoping we get new special energies in a year or two though.

Well I got a foil Rainbow Energy, so there is at least that in foil...

I agree, the set should have had a new style of energy. It's such a simple thing to do and with fairy being new, people are already needing some for their collection.

You can't get energy XY as a reverse foil can you?

It appears that there are no reverse-foil Basic Energy cards in XY, though you can get the Special Energy cards in reverses.
