Anyone staying at/has stayed at the University Place Hotel?

So, I booked my hotel tonight for Nats on Priceline, and I ended up getting a 4-star hotel called the University Place Hotel for $81 a night (not too bad!). My only worry is that it's about a 25 minute walk(!) from the convention center, but they said they have a free shuttle that takes guests to the main downtown area.

Since this seemed like one of the lesser know, or less popular hotels for Nats (since it is a little bit away), I'm curious if anyone is staying there this year or has ever stayed there? To those who have stayed there, how's the shuttle? Did it work out for you?

I stayed for a few days there last year (we also got it through Priceline for a great rate).

The shuttle is actually fantastic...perhaps the best part about the hotel! You can call it from where ever you are in the city and they will come get you within 20 minutes. The only problem was that it is NOT within walking distance to the things downtown. But the shuttle partially compensates for that.

I stayed there back in 2010. It's pretty fantastic. I had some bad experiences with the shuttle not coming when I called for them, but I think that was just really a one time thing, it went really smoothly for my brother and dad. I actually walked between the convention center and the hotel once or twice, it's manageable but definitely take the shuttle if you have the opportunity. The hotel itself is incredible for $80 a night.
