So, I was playing around Tournament locator and found these 4 tournaments:

http://www.pokemon.com/us/organized-play/tournament_id/11-07-000008/
http://www.pokemon.com/us/organized-play/tournament_id/11-06-000205/

http://www.pokemon.com/us/organized-play/tournament_id/11-06-000206/

So, I was wondering if anyone know what these are and if they have any K-value what is the K-Value of these tournaments. And 2 of those tournaments are 2nd of July. I don't remember, so if anyone recalls when does the rankings end for this season? Are they before 2nd of July or after them? Any info about this would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

All I know is , that the K- Value is 8 . I really hope , that these points are going into this season , because it is before the WCC begins .

This is an "extra" tournament series sponsored by the German LD.
Amigo told me that points from these tournaments will count for this season.
If there will be a mid-season rotation the tournaments on Jul 2nd will most likely be played in HGSS-on.

Are you sure they will count for this season? That seems very odd.

I'm planning some K=0 specials in July to celebrate the rotation (or not)

I can only repeat the information I got from Amigo (I was as surprised as you so the question for the K-value was the first I was asking).

They are now showing as 2012 Special premiere events. So expect them to count for next season.

Big props to amigo, at least we can play some real games before october over here as well despite the format mess up =)

Extra events in the Gap between Nationals and Worlds are a good addition - here's hoping the rotation happens sooner rather than later..

I hope someone in the USA decides these are a good idea, would be a great way to test for nats/worlds especially since our "testing grounds" season was MD-B/W.

everybody may also check the K-value , the tournements are now considered as Premier event for 2011 . So something change

4 tournaments coeff 8 for 2011 after national

???? so now they do count for this season???? As much as I'm pleased for the German players and others on the mainland who can travel to these events I can't say that I'm happy with the flip-flop on the status of these events.

On a related issue I wish the AT and DE nationals were uploaded so it would be possible to see where EU players stand on invites. Not that it matters much for the UK as I don't see any reasonably affordable way for UK players to travel to Germany to take part in the extra events.

That was the main reason I made this topic. I saw what happened in 2007 when there were Premier ranked tournaments after Nationals and that was ugly(like few people gaining +100 points from BRs). I e-mailed about Dave that year and he said that from that season on there won't be any tournaments after Nats because of Rankings. I find it strange that they will do an exception with these.

Amigo's website indicates that there will be five events and that they will count for this year.

Three events on the 2nd July so the previous experience hopefully wont be repeated.

The Battle Roads in 2007 got K-value 32. Arena Cups have K-value 8 so don't overrate them in regards of premier rating. In addition, due to the dates and locations, I doubt there will be any player who participates in more than one of these tournaments.

I hope there's a misunderstanding, otherwise this is more than outrageous.

Did someone already inform TPCi about this?

If they allow this to be counted in for 2011, PCI has proved us all that there will be no point in continuing this game. This means that we dont have the same chances to compete for rankings, and PCI wants us not to have equal chances. If they allow these tournaments, this will be my last year of Pokemon, and I will be more than happy to promote against playing this game anymore!

I understand that Germany is the biggest market, but hey, P!P stands for "Fun" not for "Capitalism". If PCI wants only Germans and only rich people to play this game, I am ready to help PCI on their mission!

I really hope PCI has some sense of dignity!

If you didn't get your invite until after Nationals, you should quite frankly just stay at home or try to grind into Worlds. The world isn't fair anyway, and if you couldn't secure your invite by gaining 1780ish points or something then you shouldn't blame anyone but yourself for being bad.

K8 means nearly nothing, good lord.

I wonder who cares about the K-Value while playing in this event - the winner gets a box!
