The 2011 Arizona Pokémon State Championship is coming!!!
Basic Information
Location:
Gamers Inn – 1232 E Southern Ave MESA
Northeast corner Stapley & Southern
Date: Saturday, March 19th, 2011
Time: ---->Registration begins at 8 AM (Registration ends at 9:45 AM). Player meeting begins at 10AM.
The main tournament (swiss rounds) can last 5 to 6 hours.
You must be in the registration line with your decklist ready no later than 9:45 AM or you may receive a first round loss or not be allowed to enter the event.

Three Age Divisions: Juniors (born in 2000 or later)/Seniors (born in 1996, 1997, 1998, or 1999)/Masters (born in 1995 or earlier)
K-Value: 32
Format: Modified Constructed Deck (bring your own deck - Cards are allowed from Diamond Pearl-Majestic Dawn up to and including the current set Call of Legends as well as Promos from HS Trainer kit). Also, Black Star Promos DP22 and higher and numbered HGSS01 and higher. We will do Age Modified Swiss (all players will play in every round in their age group). Note: A limited amount of Theme decks are available for new players who want to participate but may not have a legal deck to use.

What are the Prizes?
All participants will receive a 2011 States promo card (while supplies last).
The top 8 finishers in each of the three age categories receive the following prizes:
1st - 36 boosters, Medal, a Playmat, $300 travel allowance to Nationals and a First round bye at Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.
2nd - 16 boosters and a Medal
3rd - 8 boosters and a Medal
4th - 8 boosters and a Medal
5th through 8th - 4 boosters

The Black and White Mall tour will be going on the same weekend, so travelers its a great time to come out to the AZ State Championships on Saturday and stay till Sunday to go to the Mall tour at Arizona Mills in Tempe ....Its only about a 5-10 minute drive from the State Championship event at Gamers Inn!!!
