For anyone that hasn't seen it yet. Pretty good read. That Gardevoir list is mine. Was kinda disappointed they didn't give credit to the people whose lists they took.

I was actually using that for testing and possible use at Worlds. Based on the fact you made T32 and that you told me about 3 Kirlia and the count was 2-1 and the other info I had, I took a guess in thinking that was your list. I guess I don't need to ask you for it anymore,.

It seems like they described the Gardevoir/Gallade strategy rather poorly. I might be a little behind, but Sonic Blade was almost never used and Bring Down was very rarely used, weren't they? It was, as P_F once said, basically saying Psychic Lock over and over again.

They described the strategy of G&G (Plox and G&G are different kind of decks) when it came out during city's 2008, ROFL.

Fair enough, I haven't played Gardy competitively so I'm not sure how she works.

i'd say your deck bears more of a "striking resemblance" to pramawat's 2010 regionals deck than jason's 2008 worlds deck (which bears a striking resemblance to team r's 2008 states deck)

They left out tons of good decks like Luxchomp, Donphan ERL, Palkia Lock, Dialgachomp, Gyarados and many others. Who puts steelix and tyranitar in an article without those decks. I realize that those decks are good, but they aren't played enought to make a big enough impact on the metagame, although I see an increase in those decks at worlds.

wait y is there blissey rime in that steelix deck????? and teh article was talking about teh nurse call one

Posting lists without consent prior to Worlds strikes me as a bit poorly thjough out. Would one week's wait have changed its benefit to newer players any?

You would be wrong sir. While as a player I wouldn't be too happy with my list being published, both Konami and Wizards post list of players decks who do well at their events. The fact that it took Pokemon this long to post lists is quite shocking.

How would I be wrong? It's an opinion, opinions by definition can't be wrong -- the premises they're based on very well might be.

And we've never had it done before, and frankly I think there's a little too much chance involved to justify it.

i love how it talks about sonic blade as a strategy when magnechu's gardy list can't even attack with it.

^^ lol yeah i noticed that too. they should've just asked me to write a brief strategy for it cuz so much of that is not true ;x

We saw a huge uptick in the number of people playing Sablelock decks at the State/Province/Territory Championships, and with decent effect. Then one of the top players at the National Championships showed just how powerful it can be.

lol@this

pretty sure it was played by 2 people week one and they were in the same tournamet... HUGE UPTICK

It's all about preference. I didn't like the fact that if you prized one of the 3 pieces, you either had to hope to draw it out of your prizes or use 4 bench spaces. Mewtwo did the job fine, I went 4-1 in total vs Luxchomp at Nationals.
