I just wanted to get a message out to those who may know Tim Metro from Minnesota. He is a regular attendee of many tournaments in the midwest as well as the U.S. Nationals. This past summer he took 2nd place in the Professor Cup.

If you know Tim, you know that he has been fighting kidney disease for several years. For the past months he has been on a donor list, waiting for a transplant. Recently, his brother was found to be a perfect match and agreed to give up one of his kidneys.

Well the big day has finally arrived. Early Friday Sept. 14th, Tim and his brother are heading for surgery.

I am asking for all on the Gym,. both those who know Tim and those who dont, to please keep him and his brother in your thoughts and prayers. Tim is one of my closest friends, and a great Pokemon player. He is also outgoing, ready to jump in with both feet to help anyone out. I know that modern medicine makes his survival rate and acceptance of the new kidney good, and U of Minn hospital is amazing, but your good wishes are still very much apperciated.

Lets all send Tim our best wishes and give him some good stuff to read while he is home recovering. Hopefully he will be well enough to attend a Battle Road or two.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read and respond.

i seen tim around tournaments in iowa. and he always seemed like a good guy. and i bet he is.
we're wishing Tim Metro and his whole family the best.

Tim and his family will be in my prayers.
good luck to both and here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

That sounds scary! AS long as they have a donor part it should be ok.
Remember people once your dead you don't need your organs so donate!

I'm from Colorado so I don't know Tim, or his brother. But I would like them to know that I still care. I hope all goes well. God bless.

I love to see the best society has to offer, since we are usually up to our necks on the worst... so it is refreshing to see a true demonstration of unintereted and uncompromised effort to help a human being, Tim's brother is currently on my top 10 of people I respect.

No clue who he is, but I'll definately give him my well wishes as he is a fellow Pokemon player. Get well soon!
