I'm so happy the games are being released as early as April. I was worried they might arrive much later outside Japan. Diamond/Pearl is awesome. I don't know about other people who played through the Japanese version, but for me the game was much better than I expected. :)

i played the japanese game, and it absorbed three weeks of my life XD
can't wait to play it in english...so i can understand it ;p. too bad it won't have the same awesome glitches though.

Glitches? What glitches? 0.o

And I think this will be the first Pokémon game that I'll preorder. All for that stylus

The glitch where, in the room where you fight the first E4 member, you can surf through the entrance (into the black abyss), and being able to walk around. It was used to obtain Sheimi and Darkrai.

Damn it. I was wishing that they would also release Pomeon Battle Revolution at the same time. Now it's harder to decided whether to buy a Wii or DS.

It is a Nintendo Product, why in the world would they want to help out Sony?? It doesnt make any sense.

Little history lesson. You know that Nintendo and Sony worked together to make the Playstation, but Nintendo pulled out as they thought that CD base games would not amount to much. So Sony asked if they could keep the name and continue to work on the system. So I guess Nintento did help them out as first, and now is a main player in the gaming system.

On topic, D&P is going to be a lot of fun.

Plus II also have a PSP, and I like it more then the DS, which I also have. The DS has fun game and all, but the PSP is a ton of fun. Not only can you play games on the PSP, but you can also watch movies, go on the internet, play MP3s, link it to your computer & PS3, and also store photos. It a great to have when I travel for work. DS is fun for the kids, and DP is going to be a great game. Can't wait to get it.

Can you trade Sheimi and Darkrai from a Japanese cartridge to an English one like you can with the rest of the normally obtainable Pokemon in the game?

This is my first post... well, hi anybody. Sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian.
(Is there a topic where we can introduce ourselves?)

Anyways, ending this OT, I really like D/P, but I wanted to try them a few minutes before buying... does anybody know a working DS emulator to do that (and, possibly, where can I download it)?

I just have one thing against the new games: the little part given to exploration. I'd be happier if only there were (for example) two regions and 40/50 new creatures instead of 100 and over.
Exploring is the funniest aspect of the game, in my opinion.

Gee, I'm waiting for the English game. Let's hope!

yes. hence why i'm glad i got the glitch to work on my jpn cartridge. i caught both pokemon. :D

So you CAN trade from a japanese D/P to an American D/P? I remember reading somewhere on this board or another board that you could not.

no, you can. you cant, however, use an american gba game pak to transfer onto a japanese dp game. i assume you cant do the same with japanese gba games with american dp games.

you should be able to trade from a japanese dp to an american dp. otherwise, it would defeat the purpose of worldwide trading.

You can, however, trade from a US GBA game to a Japanese one. So all you need is a Japanese GBA game, and you will be able to transfer your Pokémon from US R/S/FR/LG/E over to your Japanese D/P. :)

You can trade between compatible versions of all languages in existance. Nintendo just told you can't to make you buy other cartridges, someone says (maybe that's true). However, trading between different-language cartridges [like I did with an English Emerald and an Italian FireRed] may make your savestate messed up with both the versions.
(Agree with this, it happened to me a couple times.)
