Aylam's 12-0 NE Regionals

kiko, you probably don't know me by the pokegym name, but if you see me irl, you may know who i am. i'm from new england and i can say we may have the best seniors in the country due to our success in the past 2-3 years. also, i'm not saying that LuxChomp is a bad play, i think it its the best deck in the format, minus the mewtwo x problem, but no deck is perfect and even that problem can be played around. i've just haven't seen it played at the states i was at. maybe it changed during regionals (wasn't there for regionals.)

so you know me (or atleast my name) but who are you? and mewtwo only got big at reginols other then that its been kinda dead around here as for states which ones were you at?

it was a work in progress, i want to find out my own ways to win, not copy someone elses. and i'm not trying to be rude, it's just that aylam right now does have the best rating out of all of us and is winning the big events. tell me if i'm lying.

wow, this just exploded in a manner that I really didn't mean to! In comparison to OTHER regions, we are uncompetitive. Florida kicks our *** any day of the week. Just look at the numbers of players in NE. Look at the total number of leagues in comparison to other regions. I'm talking Masters, I don't know anything about the other two. And I have nothing against the rogue, but there is a different in playing the red face paint to play the damn red face paint and playing the red face paint to win. Arceus is red face paint just to be red face paint. Gyarados (was) playing to win rogue.

^Except that that isn't true. We are not uncompetitive compared to other regions, we actually regularly outperform them at Nats and Worlds. I know there are regions in which there is no World or National Champion. We have both; in fact, just in the last two years, we have had TWO national champs and one world champ, as well as at least 3 Nats T4 and 3 Worlds T4 (excluding the champs).

Well said.
The only way to measure how competitive regions are is by how well they did at Nats/Worlds.
You're right that last year the NE Masters crowd flopped majorly in both last year. Seniors and Juniors are left to carry our flag -- lets hope for some better performance this year :)

Also - I know how it feels to have your post jumped all over... Just watch fort generalizations and statements that can be offensive and you'll avoid that :)

Bigger numbers <> quality players.

Please know your Tournament history before posting stuff like this. We've hosted players from FL. They went home leaving points here. Gino went down to a Regionals and did something no non-FL player ever did - walked out with a trophy.

hanaan nailed it - the Masters last year were a disappointment. Besides wiping out at Nats, we had quite a few earn invites to Worlds but they did not perform as expected.

And no Masters is not the only division that counts.
