I bought a box of both DP out now in america and there was no basic energy in the mysteries of the lakes and only a handfull in the first. Why are they making it so hard to get basic energy? I think they should let us proxy basic energies in tournies at this rate or make some energy packs.

I kind of agree. It would be nice to get some of these in packs. (treat them as a common) I'm not going to buy a theme deck.

I dunno about you, but I'd rather have my common Pokemon.

If Basic Energy is that much of a concern, buy a starter deck with the energy you need, they have more than enough usually. Or heck, I'm sure there's plenty on sale on Ebay.
 
I have hundreds of each basic energy, and normally entire sets of holo basic energy.

Gimme them commons!

A lot of common pokemon end up being very hard to come by (riolu, good trapinch, etc.) Keep it the way it is!
 
Yeah, I agree. I've got over 2500 energies, some of which are holo of various sets. I'd rather have pokemon as well. If I can't use them, then I can trade them to a guy who gives me trainers, rares, holos, ex's and Lv X's. I'm happy the way it is now. Even some of the extra uncommons go to him. Keep up the good work.
 
Talk to people at your league. With the exception of basic Dark and Metal energy, many would be more than willing to give you some Basic Energy. I, for one, have probably given out a couple hundred Basic Energy cards over the last year to people at my League. I have really no need for more than 60 of each of them. I currently store mine in a massive box that used to hold construction bolts, about 700 in that box. There are many others like PA and RV that have many more than I do.

riolu is uncommon.
 
I totally agree, energies should be available more easily at a cheaper price than theme decks. Ask around for energies or ask your PTO if he/she can spare some.
 
Basically, they are using the scarcity of energies in packs as a marketing tool to advertise their starter decks, good idea.
BUT, veterans at your league/tourney should have plenty enough to spare some (except for maybe Dark and Metal basics those you can really only get from decks)
 
Go to League. Earn your League Energy code. Enter it in. Wait for the energy to come to you!
 
Actually I took a second look, and I have more like 3500 basic energies! Anybody need some? LOL.

Now that they are gone..."Give us energies back"

I personally don't get it. I always hated it whenever they potentially ditched a card for some dumb energy you can get almost anywhere.

I hope people realize they did not get rid of a card. They ADDED the energy.

Before D/P boosters had 9 cards. D/P boosters have 10 cards. They never ditched anything.

I have no idea why people would toss away a free energy for a common that nobody will end up wanting >_>
 
Because it was not the energy that they put in, it was an extra uncommon. Packs before DP had only 2 uncommon. Now they have 3. I'm not complaining mind you, but when they added in an energy, it took the place of a common. When you are a league leader, if you help deckbuild, you'll want the commons just as much as the rares. I have an added incentive to get commons as well since I trade them.
 
Does anyone know if Holo Energy packs contain :dark: and :metal: yet?
I have way too many :grass: Energy cards, yet about 30 :lightning Energy cards. Are :grass: more common than :lightning?
