Best deck to play in this format?

1 uxie 59 energy
1 unown 59 energy
I still prefer the Beatles with One Cyndaquil from HGSS and 59 Fire Energies.

In all seriousness you should find a deck idea that suits you and work with it. If you are looking for a top tier deck look around the gym and find a deck that looks like something you'd enjoy. Proxy it all out and try it out at league and see if you like the deck or not. That's really the best way. No one can tell you what deck to run. Its your choice really.

Completely agreed with Kayle.

I'll add though, that it takes an understanding of your local metagame to predict with that BDIF will be as well. I personally think Dialga is the BDIF, but if my local meta was all Machamp and Blaziken, Dialga would obviously be an incorrect choice.

The term 'autowin' is taken way too literally these days. It's not meant to claim invincibility, but if deck A beats deck B 9 out of 10 times, I'd consider that an auto win. Maybe even 8 out of 10. Furthermore, why tell him to do research on his own when clearly he's a beginner player, or one that simply is bad at picking decks? If he wants ask potentially terrible people to aid him, then why not? It's his choice. If you don't think the gym is the best place for such a question I can definitely understand, but if that is the case, redirect him to somewhere useful. If he wanted to do it by himself he wouldn't have posted the article to begin with.

He cannot expect to get a perfect list here is what i am saying. He can get ideas, which is obviously not happening, and then build on that. If someone has a great idea, they are not giving it out to anyone on some random forum. If someone has a secret deck, they usually keep it to themselves. If someone just looked at the top three decks in the format, which is not that hard (Just spend 5 minutes looking), then he can make his own list.

If he's bad at picking decks, he needs to get better. If he doesn't want to do it by himself, he's too lazy to be seriously interested in winning, which would undermine his goal of learning which deck is the best play.

It's fine if he wants to ask us to pick the deck, but from my experience, asking random people to choose is not a road that puts you on a winning track. Now, if you want to ask us for deck ideas so you can start TESTING what we tell you about, you've got a winning strategy.

I can't redirect him somewhere useful - he's already here. He just needs to learn how to use the tool correctly.

BDIF? 1 Azelf LA, 59 Holofoil Grass Energies. Seriously, best kept secret in the Pokemon TCG.

As has already been said by multiple people in this thread, "Best Deck" is highly subjective. For example, J-Wittz does very well playing ChenLock (Sableye/Blaziken FB) but I have a friend who has tried multiple times to play it in testing and just can't get it down. If you want to see what's winning, you can check out the tournaments threads, specifically this thread is a compilation of hat won battle roads during Autumn 2010.

Or by seeing others picks and by seeing how other make their picks make him better at it. I know when I started playing ygo the first thing I did was check what decks other people liked, and played.

Problem is that in Yugioh the decks of the winning players aren't made a secret they are publicly released for everyone to see and at that point everyone proceeds to copy those decks. On Pokegym you can't just figure this out and copy it since Pokemon works nothing like Yugioh does. All he can hope to do is just find a skeleton for a deck and test it out to see if it works for him or not.

I don't think the OP wanted decklists

I don't think he needs to be told what the top decks are either

He is looking for people to tell him what to use because he can't make up his mind. Is that really a good way of making the choice, though?

Yeah, that was my interpretation as well, though generally people with much experience already know how to make their decision (or know that the best thing they can do is just choose one and go with it)

If you think that you can just have someone tell you the, "Best Deck" and be a good player, you're going to lose quite a bit.

This thread turned into a baw and flame thread pretty fast lul it warms my heart to see our members uphold pokegyms quality that made it famous

lul superior to you goons? nah i fit in with you delinquints.

just praise for a job well done homie no sarcasm

who cares, he asked a opinion, and if your not aiding; then your hindering. I suggest LuxChomp since it has been proving to be a really consistent deck. Gyarados honestly has the best features to be the BDIF; fast, consistent, tank doing major damage, and recovery faster than half the decks available.

Don't be ridiculous - how could a person playing 1 Uxie, 59 Energy EVER be stupid?
