Why on Earth did I predict Shadow Hearts beating Resident Evil? I think I had a brain fart and thougt it said Kingdom Hearts again (which would be feasible, at least). Other than that I am looking good.

Its okay, I picked Halo to also beat Kingdom Hearts round 2... even though I like KH way more, for some reason I thought Halo was going to do well.
 
Well, the thing is I don't know Shadow Hearts. XD So I have no idea why I put it over Resident Evil, a series that even if you don't like you respect.

As for Halo... isn't that more an "X-Box" thing? I mean, is it even on any other console (or the PC)? I recognize the game but Kingdom Hearts, while a PS2 exclusive, is attractive to non-players because... it has Disney, and it has Final Fantasy. Victory by association. ;)

What a suprise, Mario is whooping Warcraft.

Have any of Mario's Matches even been close? this one is like 80/20 from what I last saw.
 
In the past, I am betting since he's been beaten before. iirc Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, and The Legend of Zelda have beaten him in previous, similar, contests. OIf course those were character only, so those respectively were Cloud (ugh), Snake, and Link.
 
I think Mario will get beaten by Final Fantasy... sadly. Even though I play Final Fantasy way more and enjoy it more than Mario, Mario as a series is, well, Mario. He revolutionized gaming and has become the face of video gaming. I personally think Mario should have switched spots with Zelda, and the finals should be Mario vs. FF. Oh well...

Meanwhile, Sonic is losing to Super Smash Bros. IMO Sonic should be winning but meh.
 
Gamefaqs loves Final Fantasy. That series will win it all. Mario or Zelda will be second. SSB will likely be knocked out in the next round...
 
We are legion! We will expose Final Fantasy 7 for what it truly is: a great RPG that is vastly overrated, especially in the graphics department, and really didn't feel "Final Fantasy"-ish!

Of course, if the remake ever materializes, that might all change.

Oh, and somewhat on topic...

Anyone else find it weird a few days ago when it was Street Fighter vs Resident Evil... they spliced like GBC Resident Evil graphics or something with at the oldest 16-bit Street Fighter graphics... instead of just touching up a screen shot from Marvel Vs Capcom 2 to contain more relevant characters than it would normally contain? Since, you know, about 8 different Street Fighters (including the two used) plus Jill, Nemesis, "the dog", one of the ravens (or crows, or whatever they are), and the standard zombie (with optional "burning alive effect) are all in that game (Jill as a playable characters, the others showing up as part of her attacks).
 
Final Fantasy was originally designed as a D&D style game. Now it's techno-fantasy. The reason for this change is obvious: Fanboys only want the techno-fantasy aspects of it, yet still can't cope when the main character isn't using a sword, the female lead isn't using a staff and white magic, and the other fantasy junk.

FF7 was garbage compared to how people overrate it, though. Honestly and truly, it was okay at best. The remake is never coming, though. Square themselves admitted that to remake FF7 to PS3 graphics would take many years even if they put their full effort into it. Storywise, FF6 and FFT are the best. Graphics-wise, relative to the systems they're on, FF6 wins hands-down. FF7 is nowhere close to either.
 
I have never played FF VII (I really should), but Final Fantasy X is my second favorite game of all time. I'm playing FF IX right now, and its pretty good.
 
Listen to Marril: play FF VI. Its the best in the series. I haven't played Tactics but it sounds pretty good (Shining Force fan here).
 
The only thing that keeps me from saying FFT is the best game in the series is because it's an SRPG instead of a traditional turn-based RPG (which is what most of the other games are). It's just that good.
 
FFVII is by far the best... I really don't know what you guys are talking about.

Anyway, this poll was immediately deemed illegitimate when Halo lost. Halo is the best series ever, hands down.
 
Eh, Kingdom Hearts is losing to Metal Gear. Dang, I always liked Kingdom Hearts better.

BTW, Final Fantasy FTW! Sorry Super Mario Bros...
