Black Friday Deals

Do any pokemon singles site do discounts? I want to purchase older cards from T&T but I'm unsure if I should wait until black friday or go ahead and buy them now.

I'm trying to think of what I saw last year. Honestly, the best sale I ever saw was at my card shop(yeti gaming), over the summer. They had one day where everything in binders was 50% off and stuff in cases was 25%off if I remember correctly. I think for black friday, the only thing I saw was walgreens(that was a rumor, I don't know if it was true or not), and toys r us. No idea if anything else did it

Last year I went on troll and I think the only sale they did was like 50 % off current booster boxes. But they were limited quanities. Like Noble Victories was like 50 bucks, but there were 6 total

Troll and Toad had pretty good deals on their gaming supplies as well. I managed to snag a 3x3 Monster binder for around 10$

I can confirm walgreens did in fact have buy one get one on boosters- but i believe it lasted more than just a day.

Last year they had a sale on card sleeves (like, a buck for a 50 pack of UPs). They also had a sale on Booster Boxes, but there were pretty much zero of those to go around. I don't remember if they had a single-card sale, though I doubt it.

T&T will do something. They liquidate a lot of their deck boxes and singles as well as the great deals that get snagged up within seconds leaving me zero of them.

I don't know how many people here live in the New England area, but if you go to Bullmoose, they always sell their packs for $3. I always make a stop there when I'm in New Hampshire. :E

In most United States Toys R Us stores the TCG items do tend to be marked up quite a bit.

However, if you take the PRINTED* ad to Walmart (or other locally competitive retailers) most will have an ad match policy. This is especially true on black Friday.

*The add must be the printed add you get out of a local newspaper or such as they usually won't honor them otherwise.

The Walmart and Meijer (regional company) stores in my area sell Tins for $15.95 most times. So, I could got to walmart with my printed TRU ad and they be easily willing to match the ad up to any limitations set by the TRU ad.

Also, remember to look for "$X.xx off total order" coupons as these become very common around this time. Again, Walmart will accept competitor coupons like these in most cases to add up some more savings on top.

Hope this can help a little with money savings ;)

On another note, as far as shipping and deliveries go, most retail distributors only get media items (such as video games, dvds, etc..) once every week on a set date. So, if a certain item, like a video game, sold out it would not be unlikely that it wouldn't be in for a good time.

The TRU outlet near us has all packs buy one get one 50% off... Unfortunately, the price of a pack is $5.49

LOVE this idea! Just wish our local comic book / game store would offer this kind of stuff. I know that they simply cannot beat the big box retailer. But I would love it if they would offer some deals to at least make me consider spending my money there. Something like, "7 packs for $20" i know that is nearly at cost, though. :^/

If your local gaming store has a web site, Facebook, etc., you should check the Black Friday deals. A local store here has 50% off any single item, up to 3 items (not including boosters packs and booster boxes, which are 25% off). Nice way to get cheap sleeves, deck boxes, etc.

Just curious, can I print this out, then go to Wal-Mart for the same deals?
Is it legally correct, and will they accept a PRINTED version of the page online?

If your looking online you might be best to wait til Cyber Monday. Its the monday after black friday and its when alot of online retailers do drastic markdowns

I went to Toys R Us 2 years ago on Thanksgiving night. The line probably had like 800 people, allot spilling outside of the shopping center. I went back on the evening on Black Friday; and basically all Pokemon, and Yugioh products were sold out. My Toys R Us overprices, but not as much as some of yours. Pokemon, Yugioh, and Vanguard Packs are $4.99, Pokemon tin are $19.99, and Yugioh tins are $24.99. Hopefully I can go Friday night; and snag a tin or two.

Toys R' Us is buy one tin get another for $5. So that makes tins $10 a piece if you buy two.

The ad is on the lower right hand corner of page 11
