Hello, im returning to the TCG after 2 years and looking to get back into the game with a deck thats heavy hitting and quick. the idea is there with this deck but cant find where to fine tune it. so any comments thoughts crit and fixes are welcomed. much appreciated

Pokemon : 15
2 Virizion EX
1 Genesect - call for family
3 Genesect EX
2-1-2 Dusknoir
2-2 Cherrim (fair weather heal )

Trainers : 28
1 plasma ball
4 Energy Search
3 R candy
3 Colress
2 Caitlin
2 Ghetsis
3 Frozen city
4 Catchers
1 G Scope
2 N
2 Juniper

Energy : 17
4 Blend Energy
13 Grass

Cherrim / Frozen city - Cherrims heal will cancel out the damage from the stadium, aswell as adding to the damage spread on the bench.

The idea is to deal heavy dmg and attack the bench lightly and spread it around with dusknoir, with Frozen city it would add to the spead. and keeping the stadium from hurting my pokemon with cherrim, before a KO scoop up, or if i wanna do a double KO when its possible scramble switch. aiming for a double KO every few turns.

you cant have g booster g scoop and cycloon scoop up in the same deck they are ace specs meaning only one of per deck

You also cannot have 3 scramble switch. You can only have one ace spec in each deck.
This looks like a pretty fun deck but you should drop masquarin and the rocky helmets. They will just take up space that you can use to make the deck more consistent. Also you don't have nearly enough draw support. I would suggest
-1 surskit
-1 masquarin
-2 rocky helmet
-2 catcher
-2 ghetsis (these don't help as much as you would think

+ 3 n
+ 3 juniper
+ 2 virizion ex (to stop lasers)

You need to take away either Scramble Switch or G-scope. As Mr. Mime is seeing more play I would not suggest playing G-scope and would replace it with G-booster

-1 Scramble switch (you have two ace specs)
-1 G-scope
-5 Grass Energy
-2 Pokemon Catcher

+4 DCE
+4 Plasma Energy (for pokemon catcher ability)
+1 G-booster

Hope this helps!

Just in case you don't know the new rulings, pokemon catcher is now with a coin flip, you can have professor juniper and sycamore in the same deck, but combined the card number cannot exceed four, also the person who goes first can't attack.

It's worth noting that this is incorrect, you cannot play both Professor Sycamore and Professor a Juniper in the same deck. You may play 4 of one of them, but cannot run both Sycamore and Juniper in any counts.

Minus the cherrum, dusknoir in virizion/genesect is definitely a dangerously good idea. However Playing at least 2-3 skyla would increase the consistency of getting ultra balls, candy and or G-booster to you're hand. Where as playing the G-scope is good in the fact of spreading the dmg around G-booster is slightly better in getting those much needed fast ohko's that turn the tables/tides in you're favor.

4 plasma and 2 colress machine is pretty versatile in setting up genesect in various ways, by turn 2 w/o virizion you can megalo cannon or g-scope/booster. OR you could use virizion for the setup to genesect, drop down the plasma energy for the catcher effect then G-booster OHKO that pokemon you pulled up.

Props to dusknoir, I've been wanting to play it in mine, but no space.

I would say that having 4 potion would be better than a 2-2 line of cherrim.
Heals 10 more damage and it's an item. Granted should you get a cherrim line out,
how many consistent heals are you going to get off with it?
4 potions heals = 120 damage
takes 6 heals to get that amount of damage off the board and you can only use 1 cherrim, once per turn. 2 cherrim if you have 2.
Pros and cons to consider.

the cherrim line will heal every time i attach an energy with the gym in play. its so that i dont KO myself adding energy lol.mainly so that the opponent takes damage and cant hide. im messing around with adding the plasma balls and few other things. didn t add inthe potion so the energy and other searches move faster, but is worth trying.

Frozen City doesn't do damage to Genesect, just Virizion, so you probably don't need the Cherrim line. (Also, you probably don't want to drop the Frozen City until T2 or T3, so I wouldn't worry too much about 2 extra damage on Virizion.) -4 Cherrim line

Why 13 grass energy? You only really need 13 TOTAL energy, including Plasma. -4 Grass

You need Pokemon search power, and Ultra Ball is the best way to do that. +4 Ultra Ball

I don't know if you have access to more N and Juniper, but I would swap your Caitlins and Ghetsis for 2 each. -2 Caitlin, -2 Ghetsis, +2 N, +2 Juniper

The best Supporter for VirGen decks is Skyla. After setting up, you could play out the entire game with a Skyla per turn. Plus, you need more Supporters. +3 Skyla

Energy Search isn't very necessary when using Virizion. However, Energy Switch can be very helpful to make the most of those extra energy. -3 Search, +3 Switch

G Booster is far superior to G Scope. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. -1 Scope, +1 Booster

This one's up to you, because some people like Catchers and some people don't, but I would remove Catchers in favor of 3 Colress Machine and 1 extra spot. Genesect is going to 2HKO everything unless you have G Booster, in which case it doesn't matter who he's attacking. If you want a Catcher effect, you have guaranteed catchers in Red Signal and 4 Plasma energy. But back to the point. Without a bunch of Colress Machine and Energy Switch, you are going to have a tough time consistently powering up attackers. -4 Catcher, +3 Colress Machine

So with all of that I've freed up two spots for you, and I would recommend that you use Tool Scrapper. Garbodor shuts down every Pokemon in your deck, and without Scrapper it's almost an auto loss. +2 Scrapper

Final Changes:
-4 Cherrim line
-4 Grass energy
-3 Energy Search
-2 Caitlin
-2 Ghetsis
-1 G Scope
-4 Catcher

+4 Ultra Ball
+3 Energy Switch
+3 Skyla
+2 N
+2 Professor Juniper
+1 G Booster
+3 Colress Machine
+2 Tool Scrapper

I know this is a lot of stuff, but I think it could really improve the consistency and power of your deck. I hope this is helpful, and good luck!
