TRANSLATIONS
Squirtle – Water – HP60
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Shell Shield
As long as this Pokemon is on the Bench, it takes no damage from attacks.

[W][C] Water Spray: 10 damage. Flip a coin, if heads this attack does an additional 20 damage.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Wartortle – Water – HP80
Stage 1 – Evolves from Squirtle

[C] Withdraw: Flip a coin, if heads this Pokemon takes no damage from attacks during your opponent’s next turn.
[W][W][C] Waterfall: 60 damage.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Blastoise – Water – HP140
Stage 1 – Evolves from Wartortle

Ability: Bursting Stream
As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may attach 1 [W] Energy card to 1 of your Pokemon. (This doesn’t use up your 1 Energy card attachment for the turn.)

[C][C][C][C] Hydro Pump: 60+ damage. This attack does 10 more damage for each [W] Energy attached to this Pokemon.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4

Keldeo-EX – Water – HP170
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Step In
Once during your turn (before you attack), if this Pokemon is on your Bench, you may switch it with your Active Pokemon.

[C][C][C] Secret Sword: 50+ damage. This attack does 20 more damage for each [W] energy attached to this Pokemon.

When Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Computer Search
– Trainer
Item

Discard two cards. Search your deck for any one card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

ACE SPEC: You can’t have more than 1 ACE SPEC card in your deck.

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.

Skyla
– Trainer
Supporter

Search your deck for a Trainer card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

STRATEGY

Use Emolga to get Squirtles on bench, run good counts of draw support, Skyla, Comp Search, Ultra Ball and Rare Candy to guarantee a T2 Blastoise. Keldeo, the main attacker, can do 110 for three water energy, 2HKO'ing anything regardless of eviolite.

Bouffalant is useful for EX-hate in a EX dominant format, while Kyurem can apply pressure to Deino or Tynamo on the bench.

Cilan and Energy Retrieval, along with a high energy count, help assure enough energy can be in hand to setup another attacker if the previous is knocked out.

The single potion helps mess up Darkrai, Rayquaza, and Landorus math.

QUESTIONS

Supporter Line- I believe the new format will introduce a new support skeleton with Skyla and Computer Search. How would mine's seem? To defend myself I will say that the Skyla can really help when I need to get the last card for my Blastoise.

Techs- Do the Kyurem and Bouffalant seem just? Are there any other techs that would seem more appropiate.

Playability- While this list can be brought to it's best, there always lies the question of whether or not it can compete in this format. Does Blastoise seem like a viable option for the Cities format?

my opinion on your deck list is that it's pretty good. Similar to what I am looking at running for mine. The first change I can think of is that your ultra ball line is a little too heavy,

-1 Ultra Ball
+1 Level Ball

You don't want to be giving up as much stuff in this deck as your techs are super valuable and there isn't much room to throw things away. Next, While N is a really good card early game for this deck, once you get set up and start hitting for 110 every turn with Keldeo N will end up hurting this deck a lot. getting N'd to one or two is something you want to try and avoid, so i would say

-2 N
+2 Bianca or Hugh

everything else seems okay to me, the only thing I can think of is maybe drop your potion and 1 skyla for bicycle. being that it is an item card it pairs really well with skyla for a late game N into skyla into bicycle. gets you a few cards back and can be the difference. otherwise, looks good, and i'm as excited as you are for a return to raindance :)

-1 potion
-1 skyla
+2 bicycle

ps. oh i noticed something else, i don't really think any emolga is necessary in this deck. it's an okay starter, but outside of that it is really extra useless. so my advice is take them out for better tech pokemon

-2 emolga
+1 Kyurem (NV)
+1 Mewtwo EX

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely consider the first two, I figure I'm still in a Darkrai mindset where 4 Ultra Ball is a must.

Though I'll mention, if you haven't checked the news, Bicycle has been pushed back a set, along with a few other trainers.

Lastly, I'm definitely testing whether or not to run Emolga, in the end I'm mostly trying to assure a T2 Blastoise, so getting some Squirtle on the bench is important.

Thanks for the advice :)

I think Lapras ND is a better CoF user in this case. It has more HP than Emolga and it does the exact same thing. Sure it has 2 Retreat Cost, but is easily solved by Keldeo's Rush In Ability.

Cilan just doesn't seem worth it to me. With such a high energy count you shouldn't have to worry about wasting the supporter for the turn for energy. Seems like you would dead draw into it.

I really like that you included 3 keldeo and only 1 kyruem. I have been tessting 2 of each and every time i just get kyruem as a starter, get one ro two energy on, it and then get a keldeo out, and i want to power that up. I like the emolga as well.
The suppoter line i would change though. I would run 4 juniper, 4 N, 2 Skyla, 2 Cilan and either 2 cheren or 2 bianca (I like bianca but i realize that it depends on the deck and play style). Also, consider super scoop up and energy search.

VS. Hydreigon/Darkrai

To be perfectly honest, I think Keldeo has a legitimate matchup against the Darkrai/Hydreigon deck. Tonight, I just played 5 games against my friends Darkrai/Hydreigon deck (Using my winning Hydreigon/Darkrai build, by the way), and I would say I won 3 out of 5 games with it.

The way your suppose to approach is whittle down their hit points away with Kyurems Glaciate with an eviolite attached. That way, Hydreigon would have no way of knocking that Kyurem in one hit, and you'll get a second chance of Glaciating their entire field. Eventually bringing out Keldeo and sweep the field from there with as few as 3-4 energies. Watch out for Shaymin and Siglyph, however.

The nice thing about the deck is Squritles ability to not take any damage from Darkrai's night spear at all. Catchers are completely useless, thanks to Keldeo's rush in ability.

Moral of the Story: Don't bother running Terrakion or Kyogre ex in the Keldeo/Blastoise deck. Glaciate their field and sweep with Keldeo from there.

The quote explains it all.
