blend energy question

i was reading through recent items in the ask the rules team section and saw a question about raikou.

so volt bolt needs 3 energies, 2 of which must be electric and the 3rd is colorless. so if you had 2 electric energies and a :fighting::lightning::water::metal: blend attatched, would you discard the blend? or could the blend be, for example, a :water: energy for the attack since the 2 electric requirement is already met by the other attached energies?

You don't get to choose the color of a multi color energy.
It is all colors at the same time (in this case, all 4).
One unit, but 4 colors.
