Like always i seached for a perfect metagame counter but there are many differences in the decks so it is really hard to find. There are one thing that nearly all of the decks have in common. Free retreat cost. Breloom are the only one that can use that.

Pokemon

The first pokemon to metion is breloom. The first attack is drain punch and gives 40 damage and heal like the amount of energy the defending pokemon has. It is a very usefull attack and the healing is good vs machamp. Homing uppercut is the most important of brelooms attack and gives 120 damage to most pokemon in the metagame.

Many have asked if this shaymin is the best and yes it is. There are only 2 grass energy in the deck so the other shaymin are a little useless. This shaymin give 10+ every energy attached to shaymin and it is sometimes very usefull. Aromatherapy are good against spread and are also a good stall vs gengar because of they only give 30 damage if you don´t have any trainer on your hand.

Shaymin lv x sky form is really an amazing pokemon. With 2 energy it hits 110 damage and can move energy to save them if shaymin is in danger of being KO. To move energy is really a good thing in this deck because of breloom needs 3 energy. This shaymin is more improtant than the land form but i still think both is good. Shaymin lv x land form have the pokebody thankfulness there gives breloom(and shromish) 40+ hp.

Trainers

Energy pickup is necessary for the deck to get energy enogh. It is a little flippy but very usefull.

Level max can be changed if you think there is better cards but if you get shaymin lv x land form with it you have a big advantage against many decks.

Champion´s room and moonlight stadium are used to give your opponents pokemon free retreat cost. It helps against pokemon like nidoqueen and sp infernape(not lv x).

Energy

This deck work best if you attach an energy every turn so you will need 16 or 17. 4 call and 4 upper are good energy and you don´t need more than one fighting to breloom. The 2 grass energy are used to shaymin.

Matchups

Speedrill 55-45
This is about revenge killing a lot and get some advantage with shaymin land form so bedrill can´t OHKO. after you KO the 4/5. bedrill he may have trouble to get more than 3 bedrill. That can also help you.

-Gengar 60-40 with dusknoir 40-60
This deck isn´t hurt much by shadow room, and you can stall with shaymin until you get the energy you need. You can OHKO every turn so if he don´t head to much with gengar. with dusknoir you just have to KO when you can.

-Machamp 50-50
No free retreat cost but a breloom with 140 hp that heals isnt a walkover for a machamp.also shaymin sky form with unown g can give a lot of damage and be safe because of its resistance. If you get early start with shaymin land form you have the advantage in the battle unless hurricane punch heads 75% of the flips.

-LuxApe 50-50
The first turns you will revenge kill a lot and shaymin sky form and upper energy is good to do that. Infernape(not lv x) with lucario can KO breloom and still have retreat cost and this is why you have Champion´s room. In the lenght breloom should have a fair chance of winning.

-Flygon 75-25
Flygon give all the pokemon free retreat cost and you have enogh energy to avoid the flygon stall. You have the most advantages in this battle. Flygon isnt happy about that you OHKO them. The level x can handle 2 hits but you can just start with drain punch and it will be scared away.

-Gyarados 10-90
I havn´t tested this match but you need 3 hits to KO a gyarados. Your best chance is that your opponent gets a bad start if not you have to get his stadium away and revenge kill with shaymin so you only need 2 hits. maybe do something with the other shaymins resistance.

4 Energy Pick-up seems terrible here. Try adding in a Cherrim SF line /plus powers/expert belt so that you can still OHKO Beedrill with Expert Belt. Also, Kingdra looks like it'd just run through this deck. Finally, you need 1 Bench Sheild so when you play against Flygon, they can't OHKO your Shaymin Lv.X.

So with the testing of Speedrill who has he better side, because with the chances of Breloom+40 HP With Shaymin it's still an even somewhat odd matchup since in a Way Beedrill could donk you second turn, changing the odds.

I think 1 Breloom SV could be helpful here. 1 energy to knockout a non leveled up Luxray, and so many decks use special energy's making the 2nd attack useful.
I'd drop the Cynthia's & Prof Oaks's (Claydol and Uxie can cover your draw just fine) and go with either 2-2 Cherium SF ir 4 Plus Powers

Bug Master: 4 energy pickup is a must for this deck.

about the expert belt to bedrill. i Think it is overrated. You cant find any good bedrill player that would play expert belt while your opponent give 120 damage in a deck that looks like throwing a pluspower down and give a free price away. It is like for the bedrill deck to destroy your own chances of winning.
If you now mention bedrills speed i say revenge kill. bedrill KO turn 2. A breloom now comes with a fight and a upper energy and revenge kill or a shaymin lv x. This deck is master at revenge killing.

No kingdra wouldn´t run over this deck. You use shaymin with resistance and use aromatheropy. kingdra will give 40-20 and you heal 20-20

You don´t need the bench sheild. flygon comes in kills shaymin and now breloom kept its energy and can give a very heavy blow the shaymin will do that you win on energy in a long game and also get the most prices.

I´m not afraid of luxray gl i can play championship arena and OHKO. The drawpower makes you better against power lock but i may change a visít to an expert belt

This is a deck that i know works. It is a good metagame counter. gyarados is the thing you cant beat

Me and a friend came up with this idea a couple sets back, it's too slow, and blaziken/infernape will beat it easily.

i love the ingenuity, especially because i considered breloom a great metagame counter too (beedrill, luxray, anything+moonlight (i think you need more), flygon, and others.

however, i see it more as a tech than anything else. id try to make breloom more of a 2/2 counter line in a deck like machamp or donphan HGSS or something.
