Bright Veil vs Rocky Helmet

Pidgeotto Trainer

To follow up a previous question:

How does Bright Veil work vs Rocky Helmet? Does any Rocky Helmet on your opponent's side not affect your pokemon while Togekiss is active? Does it matter if the Rocky Helmet was played before or while Togekiss was active? And the stretch question, if a Rocky Helmet is played from hand while Togekiss is active, and then Togekiss is later out of play, is the Rocky Helmet still nullified because it was played from hand while Bright Veil was in play?

Thanks.

Bright Veil stops "instant" effects. Effects that happen to your Pokemon right when the Trainer is played.
Rocky Helmet is played to one of your Opponent's Pokemon. At that time, it is placing an effect on that Pokemon, an effect that will trigger "strike-back" damage (counters) when that Pokemon is damaged by one of your attacks later.
This trigger will be well past the time that the Trainer will have been played.
Bright Veil has no effect on Rocky Helmet at all.
