This is basically a new version of last season's SMP. The main stradegy is to tank up Scizor ex with Metal energies and let him do the damage. With BLS gone there is no longer an easy 200 with Lugia ex to the Scizor ex. I added Espeon ex because it works well with warp point, can be dish out some heavy damage, can hit the bench (something the old SMP couldn't do), and of course it's wicked poke power. Jirachi is used to get you out of a bad start, helps mulligan less, and can be a decent attacker if needed. All pokemon are a pretty good start besides Slugma. The Transciever Engine is also ideal in this deck because you need to discard energies to use Metagross' power.
 
consider addin in a metagross d to help set you up faster and better. SO that you still in fact have the P in SMP but here the P being Metagross d and magcargo.

Why espy over vaper? Vaper helps greatly against every deck (since hands will be relatively big), and gives you help against fire decks.
 
i think espy ex is a bit better since good power, good attacks, no retreat.
he's pscychic and can kill almost all pscychic pokemon and his 2nd attack is very good now that cessation crystal is being played a lot
 
another card you'll have to keep an eye out for is ludicolo d. that's another extremely fast OHKO, like lugia.
 
Beldum HL can no longer be played; you will need to use Beldum DX or DS. Beldum DS is electric so DX is probably the best bet… unfortunately it is no where near the starter Beldum HL was.
 
Add in crystal beach then ludiculo d won't ko scizor easily. Have you tried out the deck yet? Does it work without porygon2 or metagross d, just magcargo will do? Thanks:biggrin:
 
you should put some stadiums you don't have any, mabvey removing 1 windstorm a tranciver and a rare candy for 3 stadiums(mabey crystak beach)
 
Why do u have windstorm?? if u use it u will be decreasing the damage u can do with espeon ex. i agree with The Phenom1993 since playing a stadium u will force ur opponent to counter it and increase espeon ex's power.

I have windstorm so my whole deck doesn't get shut down cessation crystal, and so I can get rid of annoying stadiums, such as Battle Frontier and Cursed Stone. Remember I am holding the Windstorms, so I don't have to use them if i don't need too. They are so much more versatile than stadiums.
I thought about crystal beach, but with all the windstorms that should be running around in the format they will never stick.

Porygon 2 isn't needed at all, and metagross d is very optional.
