This is not a rulings question.
To save you from having to retype it, moving to RTC.

Sorry to hear about that.:frown:
I don't have any experiance in this area, but I would suggest switching you deck and your prizes so your deck is on your left. Then, put your hand(of cards) on the table, and only pick it up when you need to look at it. Another option would be to get one of those card holders for little kids, which you can get from a toy store. However, I don't know if this would be allowed at a tournament(help pokepop)
Hope you figure out a way to play at the events. Good luck!

What kind of a monster wouldn't allow a player with a broken finger to use a card holder?

^ would definitely bug a Judge to shuffle instead of the opponent if at all possible, just in case.

Also ask beforehand if it's ok if you can combine Trainer/Supporter effects that would just end up with your deck being shuffled repeatedly anyways, like say Collector with Pokemon Communication, so instead of having to do 2 separate shuffles, just one.

I had an opponent with a broken finger once, and I shuffled his deck at the beginning of the game. However, I was clumsy, and a tyranitar prime popped out of his deck, so I unintentionally knew what he was playing. Therefore, I would suggest asking a judge to shuffle your deck if at all possible. to prevent something like this from happening.
