building gigas

well i have been testing gigas for a while and i have a few things to discuss

what is my problem: kinda full bench XD yeah sometimes just not having hunters/sacrifazes in time
and it leads me to sacrifizing so much and at the end of the day my oponnet has to pick just 3 prizes i guess xD but this is mby caused by my not-right-game play

no.2
is staraptor fb X worth playing? now i mean in gigas but also at all, nowdays without cdoll i see it as a fine option, in gigas dunno, from play testing it is like-> i have staraptor and yeah it is ok and i have supporters no need to think too much when playing twinds and etc, but i have no room on my bench anyway. . . so do u think it is worth?

no.3 regice, well it is kinda stereotip to play ice in deck like, garados or deck where u need to discard stuff but the thing is in most of the times discart it other ways like retreat or supporters

no.4 uxie X it is really cool card if u can get it in game, i never atacked with it, but the power is soooo great

no.5 warp energies -> iam playing 2 but when i need to retreat i just dont need to use my energy drop, well i mean in gigas deck . . just thinking about droping that and play just 333 and 4DCE and WE switch for 2 warpoints(3 total)

no.6 with no evolution i dunno if is benneficial tu play luxury ball, it seem to be better great ball which was JUST great xD mby switchung for next comunication or first premier ball

thx for advices xD

Your opponent should either be sniping your Bench to take prizes, or wasting time trying to KO Gigas while you casually Sacrifice/Poke-Healer off damage.

You should be playing Mesprit to lock up your opponent, that makes it way easier to outspeed them.

Staraptor's playability is up to you. Try playing without it.

Regice is pretty nice for getting rid of Spiritomb, which might otherwise wreck you. Otherwise I've heard Engineer's Adjustments is the best way to do it.

Great Ball does not allow you to use Mesprit, Uxie or Azelf's coming-into-play powers. Luxury Ball does.

If you're sacrificing more than twice a game, it's too much. It might help to post a list, but SSU's help a ton. If you're playing Junk Arm, which you should be, then you can get SSU's out of discard.

I tried Staraptor X, it didn't work for me, but that's just me.

Regice is necessary to get rid of energy and is required against Spiritomb!

I don't play Uxie X because I don't run any DCE. and it has never hurt me (not running DCE, that is). I have a bit of a unique decklist, so that may be it, but I can easily wall for 2 turns while setting up Gigas so I don't need the DCE.

I play 1 warp energy, 1 warp point and I haven't needed more than that. Luxury ball is personal preference but isn't necessary. Premier ball is a waste of space (at least in my testing). I run 2-2 Gigas and have never had a problem getting out a Level X. Again, it may just be my build.

I built my deck around early disruption (and it cripples some decks) to get things going. I have an excellent record against SP decks, Vilegar and Gyarados (the 3 most promient decks in my area). I have a tough time with Machamp IF I can't disrupt early.

Again, I play a very unconventional Gigas, but it works for me, and that's what matters, right?

Good luck at cities!

yeah i didnt mention all the card i play, of cause triumphant stuff is the thing whitch led me to play gigas xD

about a luxury, i know that it is better . . .well i am actually in the group of people saying 1at lest in every deck, but also in some top luxraygarchom deck they dont play that

1. If you're playing Bebe's, you should generally play one Luxury Ball. Gigas is no exception.
2. I would suggest playing Junk Arm.
3. Regice is absolutely a staple and will win you lots of games.
4. Use the Drag Off Gigas! That will win you games as well, even if it's not as brute force oriented.
5. It's totally fine to Sacrifice 3+ times. Your primary goal is to keep Gigas alive... generally, it's better to take the game to one prize than to let Gigas die.
6. Staraptor X is garbage in Gigas, as is Uxie X. Ideally, you only level those up (and then retreat with a Q) after a Gigas dies, and if a Gigas dies, you're already in dire straights. Those aren't worth the bench spots.

I really like Gigas' chances in this meta.

I would disagree about Uxie Lv X being worthless in Gigas, it offers some nice damage against Machamp.

i ment that there is alsmost no difference between doing 20+30 weaknes (or plus belt) or doing 60+30( or plus belt) it is not OHKO anyway and then u just use regigigas

1. Bench management in Gigas requires solid game play. You almost always have more stuff to bench than you have slots for. I disagree with some of the advice given. It’s fine to sacrifice 3+ times in a game … just don’t do it only to clear bench space in order to bench something new. Each of your sacrifices should have a purpose and you should have a plan in place to make up for the prize loss before you do it. I might sacrifice to heal … but I might also sacrifice extend a Mesprit power lock or to get more energy in play so that I can retreat. With the new cards you can use Sacrifice to activate Twins or Black Belt … or to avoid activating your opponent’s Twins to deny them setup. As long as it advances your progress towards a win condition any Sacrifice is fine.

2. I have Staraptor in many of my test lists. It’s a very good tech overall and I would have no issue with any Gigas deck that runs it … but to this point it’s not been in any of my tournament lists. Staraptor has gotten better with Twins and Black Belt but it may not help you in some of the more common matchups I anticipate for Cities like Machamp and LuxChomp.

3. Regice is there to counter Spiritomb so you can use trainers early game … or to force your opponent to swap out some basic guy they are sacrificing while they try to set up something on the bench … as much as it is to just discard stuff. It’s a multipurpose card.

4. Uxie X will become more useful as an attacker if Machamp starts to see more play. I actually won BR with Gigas thanks to it’s attack last season.

5. Run Warp Energy and Warp Point IMHO. It saves on energy attachments and makes getting level up cards like Uxie X into play easier.

6. I always have at least 1 evolution card in my Gigas builds. There are plenty of useful cards that fit well in Gigas from Abomasnow to Steelix. If nothing else it is a flip free trainer way to get Uxie, Azelf, or Mesprit into play.
