Buried Fossil with Rare Candy and Wally's Training

Based on the Rulings found below, I would assume that
Wally's Training which has the text "Search your deck for a card that
evolves from your Active Pokemon..." will not work on Buried Fossil,
simply because at this time the text on Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl,
all say that they evolve from Mysterious Fossil. (Nowhere on these
3 Pokemon is a mention of Evolving from Buried Fossil.)

Rules From Team Compendium:
Q. Can I use Rare Candy to evolve a Baby Pokemon into its next stage? What about the newer forms of babies that are considered "Basic Pokemon" but have the "Baby Evolution" Poke-Power?
A. Rare Candy states if you have a card that "Evolves From" your Pokemon. There are currently no cards with text saying "evolves from" its baby form, so Rare Candy will not work on any form of baby Pokemon. (Oct 23, 2003 PUI Rules Team)

Q. Can I use Wally's Training search for Pikachu when you have a Pichu active?
A. No, Wally's Training states to search for a card that "Evolves From" your active Pokemon. Pikachu does not say that it "Evolves From" Pichu, so Wally's Training will not work in this situation. (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team Meeting)

Based on the Rulings found above, I would assume that
Rare Candy which has the text "...If you have a Stage 1 or Stage 2
card that evolves from that Pokemon in your hand..." will not work on
Buried Fossil, simply because at this time the text on Omanyte, Kabuto, and
Aerodactyl, all say that they evolve from Mysterious Fossil.
(Nowhere on these 3 Pokemon is a mention of Evolving from Buried Fossil.)

Good point. We'll ask it to get the official answer, but I'm sure it would be similar to the case with the Baby Pokemon. The text on the evo cards don't match the Basic you are evolving from and so it wouldn't work.
