Cacturne and Mr Mime

I was thinking of making a quick Cacturne Plasma Freeze combined with Mr. Mime. My question is can Mr. Mime cancel Cacturne's Rapid Fire Needles secondary effect or by not being able to affect the bench , must he do the 30 damage to himself ??

mr. mime is not preventing you from targeting the bench with cacturne's attack, it just negates the damage part, so mr. mime and cacturne combo really well I've considered them for a league level fun deck.

main reason the combo hasn't really been used competitively is cacturne is a stage 1 grass with 90 hp, so there are few support options for it and 90hp can be koed pretty easy these days.

That's why you run Cacturne & Dragons.

Cacturne, Kyurem EX (blast), Reshiram, Zekrom
Damage the outragers so their damage increases and you have nearly EVERY weakness covered in this deck of a majority of the pokemon played in the meta.

Even if it would be for league level fun play deck, you could surprise some people.

True with the stage 1 and 90 hp part I was Actually thinking of combinig it with Genesect EX being able to bring smaller HP basics from the bench with its effect , meanwhile I charge the Genesect up with the energy needed. Maybey even add in a Virizion EX for good luck and no Special Conditions.
