Time to be there + Start time for CA States
Hi all,
In every situation, and for all PT&E events, our website is the final word!--we have control over it, whereas info at other locations is out of our control.
Here is the skinny on how PT&E Registration works (and this applies to all events):
1. We have between 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours for Registration.
2. We offer prereg.
3. Prefeg players can show up anytime in the last 1/2 hour of registration--we have your info so all you need to do is check in. Prereg players are strongly encouraged to bring a completed decklist--again, this is so you can fly thru registration.
4. Players coming to register onsite need to be there at least 45 minutes before registration ends--why? so we can get everyone thru in order to start the event at the start time.
5. For constructed events, decklists are required. We offer a downloadable decklist (pdf file) so you can bring your decklist already filled out--you will spend less time in registration. If you need to fill out your decklist onsite, it will take anywhere from 10-30 minutes (depending on how many interruptions you get from greeting friends). Again, this is why you need to be there early.
6. We give last call for registration 15 minutes before the scheduled start time (this allows us enough time to get stragglers thru registration and into the computer so we can start on time).
So...for California States, the doors open at 10am; the event is scheduled to start at 11am. If you need to fill out a decklist onsite, please be there no later than 10:15. If you have not prereged, please be there by 10:15. For preregs who arrive with completed decklists, be there no later than 10:45.
I hope this explanation/information is helpful in understanding how an event works to get running. Our staff will be all ready to go at 10am. We expect a big turnout, thus we suggest you be early rather than late. We will have the pinball contest running, head-to-head GBA action, merchandise for sale...lots of things to do after registration and before the event begins. ChrisBo, our gallant HJ, may even break into a song-and-dance routine if things get really boring...
.
We look forward to seeing all of the great California trainers there defending their State title against the hordes of Arizonians, Nevadians, Utahans, and Area 51 Alien invaiders.
Have a good day tomorrow and see you on Saturday.

I am confused about the starting time. It says on Nintendo's site that it starts at 12, but on PTE it says 11 a.m. Also if i don't pre-register i have to show up at 10? Man thats pretty unfair for us norcalers. That's like me getting up at 4 in the morning! Anyway hopefully someone can clear this up for me.
