Its a great weekend to hit two PreReleases in two days.

Two great places to play and stock up on the great new set of cards.
Admission is only 15 bucks.
play and the Tecumseh Scout Cabin Saturday, lets see if we can fit more people in this time :)
Stay over in the SE Mi area and can play side events till late.
there are great hotels in Dundee MI just 15 miles away and then less than an hour to Rochester Hills for Sundays event.

SATURDAY Deoxys Prerelease Tournament

Main Tournament Format

You will not need to bring a deck or any other cards in order to play in main tournament. When you register you will recieve 6 packs of Pokemon EX Deoxys and will need to build a forty card deck out of those cards and the basic energy that will be available for your use at the tournament. All energy will need to be turned in at the end of the tournament but you get to keep everything you recieve in your 6 packs of cards!!

The tournament will be age-modified swiss and you will be given 30 minutes in order to play each round. During this tournament you will only play with 4 prize cards instead of the normal 6.


Theme Deck Challenge

We will be also holding a Theme Deck Challenge to help players learn the game. They will get a NEW theme deck (Deoxys) to play with, and will also be GUARANTEED two packs of cards for playing!!! This event will be non-sanctioned and limited to 16 players... As this event is limited to 16 players, priority will be given to 10 and under players first, then their parents, then older players for entry, the cost is only $15.00 These players will also receive the four packs of cards and two packs of Series 1 Boosters for playing!!!

Side Event Formats Explained


Pokémon Modified-Single Elim Tournament

Players will need to bring there own Modified Legal 60 card deck. Players will play a number of rounds based on the number of participants.Cost: $5.00

Prizes for side events are based on attendance. The information below shows you if you have x amount of players in the tournament how many packs will be awarded as prizes.

8-11 Players
1st Place-6 EX Deoxys Booster Packs
2nd Place-4 EX Deoxys Booster Packs
3rd & 4th Place-2 EX Deoxys Booster Packs

12-15 Players
1st place = 12 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs
2nd place = 6 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs
3rd & 4th Place = 3 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs

16-19 Players
1st place = 18 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs
2nd place = 9 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs
3rd & 4th Place = 4 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs

20-23 Players
1st place = 24 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs
2nd place = 12 packs EX Deoxys Booster Packs

Sounds good to me, I have to work Sunday nights, however, so Rochester Hills doesn't work for me. I will be returning home after Saturday's tournament and be facing my hometown peeps in Niles, IL (not MI) on Sunday afternoon. I will be bringing Cory G. aka Cursedinfinity with me and maybe his brother. We will be the only ones to my knowledge going out here from IL, most of them are gonna settle for Sunday only. (the only other 2/12 pre is in Iowa, which is even further by 100 miles) I will try and have a new card for Saturday, make sure and find me to get one! If you don't know what I look like, just look for the guy with the AC/DC cap. Hope to see all the regulars again, gonna have to improve on last week's 2W-3L record.
 
The Tecumseh Scout Cabin will have drinks, muffins, hot dogs and chips available for a small fee at this event. Procedes will go to help support the cabin
 
In case anyone cares (I know a few had asked me last weekend), I am staying Saturday night in Troy, MI at the Holiday Inn. Its about 14 minutes away from Rochester Hills

Actually it will be limited to no more then 8 players total at both events. I only have 8 total decks for theme deck.

Nicley run tournement. Props to the judges and TO. BTW what happened with the "drinks". I had to pay 50 dollers for that ID. just in case you want to know I got 3rd(pure luck) lost my ladt battle to mitch. Thanks again for holding it there and running it smoothly and efficiently.
