this is a video i entered in to try and get a scholarship. i need as many hits as possible, so it would be greatly appreciated if you guys looked at it. and, of course, the first time i try to upload a video on youtube, it totally kills it and cuts it in half. =/ oh well, i'll try to upload the real one after the contest is over. until then, plz look. hopefully i'll have so many views it'll equal out instead of my ending. ;P

but besides this, i want to see if anyone else entered this contest. I would love to see your videos (i'm sure that they are much better than mine).

I also would be interested in some basic video creation advice, and maybe some advice on how to upload videos. Because, if you watch, you see i get cut off midword. =/ does anyone know a particular reason why it did this?

again, thanks for looking, and thanks for any adivce/criticism!!

I don't have any idea why it cut you off. I've never uploaded anything, but maybe you should make the other part that got cut off a video response to the first part so that people can find it. And then say something in the video description.

Mew*: thanks for the suggestion!
Chromecatz: yeah, it's suppossed to be aimed towards young teens/adults.

still looking for a reason why youtube cut my video. i uploaded the full version as another document and it worked fine.

it's long for a commercial.
usually you want to make it 30 seconds, that's it.
Might want to use animation and more colors.

homeofmew: the requirements are to make a video between 1-2 minutes long. and thanks for the tip on animation! do you have a good program to recommend? (besides photoshop, of course)

btw, I now have the new video (finished in its full "glory") here:

it has some of my friend's music at the end.

I would do it again, but this time try out different/better lighting, get some friends to help and get better camra angles. Also go over it more, and try to think of ways to make a 1-2min add exciting and interesting.

Not saying that its easy to do, but for this you want it to be something fun to watch, and something that makes you want to see the whole thing.
