Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Canada nats updates

It was all good .... I lost that game due to forgetting to put crobat G in my deck * face palm*

There were so many mesprits within flash bite Ko range ...
I remeber Andrew telling me how he won vs Blaziken that must of been harsh to deal with.

You took 4 Mesprit and 3 Spray XD and one shot KO on Palkia, I was hoping that you didn't play Luxray against my Palkia lol

Youko, my real name is Garret. I was asked my opinion on the situation you described, and I gave my opinion. Had your friend appealed to the head judge, he could have had some closure to the situation. I will admit that my opinion was somewhat flawed, since there could have been something I missed, since apparently I was not communicated the whole story. However, you and I both agree that there was somewhat of a language barrier which may have been partly to blame as well. I won't go into huge details, since this is not the place to debate rulings. If you would like to continue the discussion, you will be welcome to do so with the correct channels. One of them would be to email me at the address I gave you at the event, or one of two other choices: you can get in touch with the organizer of record (Marvin), or you can discuss this with an email to [email protected] [email protected] or [email protected]

I would like to add a couple small things here though before I say no more about the incident - Tego is right, the contents of the discard is public. And I find it unlikely that someone would do a NM for no effect. Your friend signed the match slip as well, validating the results of the match. This doesn't absolve us as judges of our duty to get to the bottom of the situation, but each player also has to take responsibility for their actions - or lack thereof as well. Lets continue this discussion privately, or through some other means, if you would please. Continuing here does no one any good.

Edit: Youko, the person you were referring to was actually John. He was involved with the original ruling - not Lucario as you assumed.

I would also like to say I'm impressed with Sebastian, and Gordon. I agree with Paul about their sportmanship and skill level. In fact, I had a chance to watch a couple of their games - so much so I didn't want to stop watching them! Good job guys. Make us proud at World's.

They are both REALLY REALLY good players. I know that the game they played in Swiss must of been a fun one to watch if it wasn't one sided one way or the other.

So much has been said about Gordon and Sebastian. How well deserved that is... We know you guys ROCK, are amazing diplomats and can't wait for you two to get to Worlds and complete what you started a couple of years ago. Ranked 1st and 9th entering the Worlds finals as I recall, both lost first games of the day... I think I wandered around glaring at my BAD computer saying, No, no, NOOOOO! for about a half hour after that. You need this chance to finish what you started and we sure are dying to see it!

Way to go Andrew and James, our "other" champions (our first and second masters just in case it was not clear in this crazy thread); Way to go , all of the top 4's in Seniors and Juniors. Can't wait to see the entire top 4 in each division represent us Canadian Poke-addicts/cheerleaders at Worlds. You have to know we will be stalking -er- CHEERING all across Canada for you.

Mamalugia are you Tracy or Delfina?

Anyways, from my understanding cards weren't drawn with cosmic power before roseanne's was used. In the late stages of a game I can guarentee you any of the top players would be able to tell you if anything critial is prized. Most of them will take their time to look through their deck to figur that out in the first place.

As stated above using night maintenance for 0 cards is an illigal play, so being able to rewind shouln't have been an issue in the first place. Agruing this call after the match just seems to be bad sportsmanship.

Man, jon is just an amazing player. I give him the list three weeks before nats, and he went undefeated. Im am very proud of jon. He was close to changing his deck, but i convinced him not to and it turns out he wins nats.

Great Job Jon!

Edit: Wait ur names James! Well ill keep calling you jon :p

Yeah John is amazing.... but his list was tweaked pretty extensively Alex :p. With how amazing our juniors are I' am not suprised one of them won Jon just happened to have the luck.

I could see some of your little improvments in there :p

But how did my deck even win a game? Ramardos/Gengar? Madness red face paint ftw :p

You should be glad you didn't run into dialga or maybe you did I dunno lol. I am suprised how well Gengar did in seniors especially since it super flopped in masters.

Gengar was super popular, Everyone played it. It was intresting cause when i reached top cut, i was like "I could beat anyone but Micheal..." Guess what? I played Micheal XD i was like aww and lost 0-2 oh well it was fun. Well if i head down to grinders, ill play Flygon Since its koolz :p
