I dont think it is that they care... it is more that Championship Arena Was "Suppose" to be an Exclusive, or Special Card For Those Who Actually Got An Invite Trip... How would you like it if You "Won Something" that was supposely special and then it got mass produce... Personally I would be Really Upset...

It isnt That Should Care... It is That Most Companys Dont Care about Values of Cares But Like Giving "Rare" Cards do Players Who Do Well in There Tournament System...

Reprinting The CA would completely destroy imo the company philosiphy that Better Players Doing Well Should Get Cool Cards As Spoils To Show What The Accomplished... Reprinting the Same Version Would Destroy This Image...

I dont think the question is whether is should be reprinted or not... the question is... Why Do Players Who Dont Get The Goodies Always Complain About Things That So Called Other Players Earned... IMO If You Earn A Invite... It is Like a Trophy Card To You...

There are ways of locking in a Stadium .. the most popular probably being UF Houndoom right now. Whether or not the card is playable, it can still be locked into place and cause some disruption.
 
it wouldn't destroy the value. like bjj763 said, they came in a special small folder. people aren't going to worlds JUST because they got a special card (they didn't even KNOW about the existance of the card until like, friday night). drew, you just dont want the card reprinted because you lose profits, like a bunch of other ebay sellers (although you don't lose any profits considering, like i said, it was in. a. folder.).

I take this as a "personal attack" at me... You are so full of your self that you didnt even read what i wrote Ben... I just want you to look at what i wrote and then clarify it with my following statements..

1. I never said That I had Any Nor Did i care about making a profit on them... cause i dont...

2. I dont understand Why and i quote " Just because you know me personally that you can attack everything i say on the boards" I dont appriciate it, I dont do it to you so plz stop doing it to me... From Now I am going to report it every instance cause it is getting on my nerves...

I personally Think it should be considered a trophy card for players that got invites... If reprinted It should be if anything have Different Artwork and a New Number for the Promo Set...

Exclusive cards, in my opinion should remain exclusive to players that attended that event, this holds as a momento to them and that it should remain unique to them however broken they may appear to be for the onlookers.
Though I do envy them!!
 
I didn't go to Worlds 2004 and so I didn't get that year's promo. It wasn't reprinted. I don't think this year's World promos should get reprinted either. Keep it consistant in how Worlds promos are issued.

If for some strange reason the Worlds promos become playable, and you don't have any, bummer. If you've got 1, VS Seekers should help. I was lucky enough to get 2.

BTW, the grinder invites DIDN'T get the Champ Arena promo, from what my buddy told me (his kid was a 10-under grinder invitee).
 
thats what i am saying. the ONLY way it will be reprinted is IF there is some way of differentiating between the one at worlds and at league/another promotion. i'm on your side on this one--the only way it should be reprinted is if it has other artwork/has another way of being different than the one at worlds.

Yah, agreed, somewhat. It used to "blow my mind" when I saw people playing Pokemon Center or Lucky Stadium with THE POKEMON CENTER stamped on them (worth LOTS of bucks). Although I have those cards, I'd NEVER play them, but rather I'd play the much cheaper, non-promo versions.

well, yeah, same here. thing is, it isnt easy to take the championship arena promo out of the little folder thing. for some people, it requires actually ripping the thing. i got lucky when i took mine out to put it in a sleeve and pop it back in. didn't rip at all.
 
Even the players who got their 1 at worlds can't really play the card effectively without 4. The card is a competitive card which is why this is important to me. I have not seen the other worlds promos used in a competitive way yet and at least those were given out x7 to each player. IMO, people with money or people who attended a certain event should not get a competitive edge such as an exclusive card someone else can't use. With a stamped card or something "special" yet not a competitive edge (like a top 32 Tropical Tidal Wave instead of the normal one) the player is gaining a unique prize but not a competitive edge which is fine. Since this is a competitive card, I think everyone should have the general oppurtunity to play it.
 
Ross, "competitive" is a relative term. If you don't see it in competition because it's too rare, then it's not competitive. :tongue: :biggrin:

Time will tell. If I see someone winning lots of Champ-series events with 4 Champ Arenas, THEN I'll perhaps consider a petition to PUI to have a version of this Stadium reprinted. Until then, all the petitioning in the World aint gonna get this preprinted. JMO.

Uh, why not make a card saying 'Good job on getting to Worlds' or something? Why make it an actual card that you can play? =/

It makes no sense. You should be able to access all cards in the game. Even if you have to trade heavily for them.

Shinings, yes you do trade pretty hefty for those, but there are a bunch(more than 400) out there. Only 400 or so copies of a card? Good luck getting one.

JMO.
 
Also MetalMaster, the Shinnings or * are just 1 per deck, in that way even if are few copies are easily to get that one card

Yeah, but that comparison still stands. Easier to get *'s vs. getting a Championship Arena. And, the Pokemon*...oh I'll spare everyone the talk about them today.
 
These cards are not hard to get, while i did not attend worlds I have obtained a playset plus 2 for trade in the my trade thread. Did i have trade heavy for them? Yes. Was it worth it ? We'll see. The point is that these cards are out there for the taking if you really want, If you want to be the best then you have to do everything within your reach to get to it. Dont expect any handouts.

Hey no problem with giving out Exclusive anything at Worlds, just do not number them like cards from an obtainable set. They are Black Star promos. Therefor they should be avaible to everyone, not just those who went to Worlds. Or announce Black Star promos will only be available at Worlds and everyone else does not have to worry about collecting them.

Because those are Black Star promos, a set until now relatively easy to collect. And as for "trophiness", those cards are printed differently! They either came with a special envelope or special printing! There's your "trophiness" for you. The rest of us would like to fill in the spots of our collections. Don't care about 8 different languages! Don't care about the special envelop. Just want the cards to complete our sets. And heaven forbid one of those becomes a staple in a deck, talk about an unfair advantage.

Why do people who get theirs try to deny our quests to get ours?

I aggree... The CA shouldnt of been of Black Star Promo, But if it isnt, what are you gonna make it as??

Also i think TTW should of had a non-stamped version that was massed produced so it was easy to get so that the card for the promo set isnt hard as heck to get...

Cause atm this makes collecting promos not very fun...

no, its good that ca is a black star promo, but it should be massed with some way of being different than the ones at worlds. if it was massed, i am 100% sure it wouldn't be distributed in the same envolope as the one at worlds, which says "this is your keepsake for participating in the world championship."

in league this year, one of the battle frontier seasons/facilities is called the "battle arena." is it possible that they could reprint the card, and hand it out during that season? like, for completing an activity?
or, maybe i'm crazy.
 
Or, extending on what Benlugia said in the post above, maybe they'll reprint it at that time.

If it wasn't a BSP, they could even give a different name(Battle Arena?), but because of if being a BSP, you can't make it different, other than the art. Or even just not have the stamps, etc.

BSP=Black Star Promo. Duh.
