Charizard d AWESOMENESS

Energy Root is awesome for the Ludi matchup, because the Charizard survives, and then you drop Meteor Falls and RAGE FTW

Edit: Can you tell I'm obsessed with Ragizard?

Ludi i sjust as weak to us as we are to it. It is whoever hits fist, thats why I wonder if Charmeleon d is worth taking a look because we can swarm with him and OHKO all their Ludis.

Ok in my opinion:

-2 magneton
-2 other cards
-1 celios network

+4 double rainbow energy
+1 holon lass

See if that might help...
my reasons for this are

you can mentor for your castforms, and no real way to get magnetons
you can lass for double rainbow energy and lightning,
and you can smooth over stuff still. you wont need a full set of celios to in effect get a single pokemon.

If you attach Lightning with Flygon and then Castform from hand and then attack the Lightning energy is in your hand so you don't need a new one every turn and you also don't have a lot energy so Lass is not that good in this deck. But yeah like a lot of people said before DRE > Holon's Magneton.
And btw. if you use Charmeleon's rage it costs 2 energy but yeah I would still use that charmeleon. Ludi isn't gonna be that big and if you use raging Charmeleon you have a fire pokemon if you need it, you already have lightning :thumb:
Edit: I also think Energy Root is not needed, I mean only 20 hp difference, it gets discarded by windstorm and you can use the space in the deck better. And Yeah like ddrkig said why not change some Lightnings for Delta Rainbows ?

I think you could also try using Delta RE. That can be used by flygon to attach to Charizard and still count as a metal.

4 Windstorm are needed IMHO. This deck has to combat not just Battle Frontier, but Cursed Stone, and Cessation Crystal. All 3 cards really hurt the deck and 2 of the 3 cards totally shut the deck down (bf doesn't shut down magcargo though). Does Research Tower actually help the deck? If anything, it forces Charizard to discard all the energy on it.

Actually, Holon Research Tower says that the basic energy can only count as either its basic form or a metal.

"Each player's basic Energy cards attached to Pokemon that have δ on its card are both their usual Energy type and (M) but provide only 1 Energy at a time. (Has no effect other than providing energy.)"So all basic energy count as metal AND their usual type.

Yes, but even though it only provides 1 energy, the energy it provides is metal and it's usual basic type. So an L energy would provide L&M, not 2 energy, still 1, yet worth L and M. Just like how Rainbow only provides 1 energy, it still provides Fire/Water/Grass/Electric/Fighting/Psychic/Dark/Metal.

Prime, you're right, we need 3 windstorm, we may use metal but nor Rainbow d, I don't like tossing 4 energy for a prise. I like DRE, that is hot. Research Tower is just as bad as Rainbow d. Don't want to make Charizard lose everything for 1 ko. Energy root or protective orb? Either one should probably be adressed IMHO, charizrd is begging for the ludi KO. What about mirror match? this deck is picking up steam in the metagame. 140 HP non-ex that is hot.

Protective Orb sounds like a better idea IMHO. Too many pokemon are doing 60-80 damage now-a-days, and will still Two-Hit-KO charizard, and Ludi can easily do 120 (6 pokemon in play? what?) to Charizard, yet it won't often do 100 (full bench on Ludi, 4 benched on your side, DRE = 90).

This is how I would run the deck

20 Pokemon
4 Holon Castform
3-2-3 Charizard
3-2-3 Flygon
1 Holon Magnemite

25 Trainers
4 Rare Candy
4 Transciever
2 Researcher
2 Mentor
2 Adventurer
1 Farmer
4 Holon Call
3 Switch
3 Windstorm

14 Energy
10 Electric
4 DRE

Tmanplayer, you NEED chimecho d, 4 Delta Rainbow energy, and more than one farmer the way I play it.
Use Holon supporter, discard δ Rainbow energy, chimecho d to get it out of discard, 'rain' it, or keep it in hand to use holon supporters without discard.

GG

you dont need holon magnemite, start with only him, your done

Here is the best I have come up with so far. 2 meteor falls, 3 windstorm, ragemander over ragemeleon due to searchability, orb over root due to being just plain better. 2-2 fearow line, 2-1-2 flygon. You guys can take it from there.

you guys are running out of room because you over tech your deck, most of you forget that zard powers up himself. anyone else just slows him down and detroys the decks consistancy. with this starting list you can add whatever you need for your metagame, but in a mirror match speed and precise hits matter more than loading up just one zard. he is meant to swarm just as much as loading. the secret is balance these two according to your match up.
