It is amazing that in places with less than 8 in a division, that certain younger players would even risk playing, unless they already had a trip.

Your ratings are determined by wins and losses REGARDLESS of the age group! If a 10- loses to a 15+, they drop ratings points.

They get experience, but that and a quarter will get you a POSTCARD from Hawaii!

Come on TOs! If you can't sell FREE.....we are all in trouble!

North Texas Update. . .

Mesquite CC (2006) 24 (6/8/10) Comparable to:
Richardson CC (2005) 34 (9/11/14)

Smaller attendance, but I think this is due to the store that was in Richardson recently changing location (VERY recently). Also. . .

Tom Bean CC (2006) 28 (9/5/14) Comparable to:
Sherman CC (2005) 24 (6/6/12)

Excellent turnout for a venue that was way out in the middle of nowhere (or at least seemed like it to a big city boy like me).

More next week - Plano on 12/16!

Cheers,
S.

I would like to see in cases a junior/senior has to play almost all games against 15+ their rating would be frozen, or at least their looses would not make them drop points.

Andrew d. won both the Kettering, OH and Hilliard, OH Junior Division CCs and his only 2 losses were his final matches both days when he played outside of his division against seniors who made the cut in their division. So sad because he had some losses but I'm hoping that he was expected to lose so it didn't hurt him too much. The only answer to it is that all kids face the same possibility of playing outside their division and hopefully that will just even the score. Plus he doesn't understand the scoring beyond wins-losses and he wanted the prizes!
